After the huge box office success of Dhurandhar, excitement around its sequel has been steadily growing. Fans of Ranveer Singh are eagerly waiting for Dhurandhar 2 teaser. Over the past few days, several rumours suggested that the teaser would be released alongside Sunny Deol’s film Border 2. These speculations created a buzz among moviegoers, especially since Border 2 is currently drawing massive crowds and receiving praise for its performances and storyline across the world.
However, director Aditya Dhar has now officially cleared the speculations woven around Dhurandhar 2 teaser.
On January 23, 2026, Aditya Dhar shared an important update through his Instagram Stories. He reposted a fan’s story that playfully urged him to release the teaser soon. The fan’s message read, “@adityadharfilms mazak nhi teaser jaldi!”
Responding directly, Dhar wrote, “Teaser will be out in a few days.”
By sharing this interaction, the filmmaker put an end to all rumours about the teaser being attached to Border 2. His response confirmed that fans will have to wait a little longer, but not for too long.
The sequel to the blockbuster spy thriller is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026. With the release date approaching, expectations are high as audiences are keen to see how the story unfolds in the second part.
Dhurandhar 2 is set to clash at the box office with Yash’s film Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown-Ups. This has led to online discussions about whether Aditya Dhar might delay his film to avoid competition. However, reports suggest that the filmmaker has no plans to change the release date.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the release schedule remains unchanged. A source close to the director stated, “It is a hundred per cent on. The date March 19 is final and irrevocable. The false stories doing the rounds about the postponement are the desperate elements to play our film down. People were spreading such rumours before the release of the first part also.”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar emerged as one of the biggest spy thrillers in recent times. The film impressed audiences with its gripping narrative and strong performances. The story follows an Indian intelligence agent who enters Karachi’s criminal underworld, with much of the plot set in Pakistan’s Lyari area.
The movie tackled intense subjects such as terrorism, patriotism, and national security. Due to its sensitive themes, Dhurandhar faced bans in several Gulf countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Despite this, the film achieved extraordinary commercial success. As per Sacnilk data, Dhurandhar collected Rs 1,289 crore worldwide within 48 days of release, while its India net collection stood at Rs 829.40 crore.
Following its strong theatrical run, Ranveer Singh’s film is set to begin streaming on Netflix from January 30, 2026.
