A shocking incident was reported to have occurred on the Surat-bound Aravali Express as 31-year-old model Antara Soham Banerjee allegedly had a row for a reserved ticket. Banerjee was traveling with a sleeper class ticket and was allegedly sitting in an AC coach when the passenger assigned to that coach asked her to vacate the coach. This case attracted the attention of the ticket examiner and RPF officers. The police FIR said that it turned violent when Assistant Sub-Inspector Yaminikant Mishra and constable Rajesh Kumar intervened. Banerjee allegedly abused the officers, pulled out a razor blade, and injured RPF personnel during the confrontation. Later, she was shifted out of the train at Dahanu Road station.

After some back and forth about who the actor actually is, Antarra Banerjee’s representatives came out and said she has no link whatsoever to the railway incident. They explained that the television actor who lives in Andheri West was not detained and not once asked any questions by the police about the matter. Her PR team also said that the person taken into custody by the Borivali railway police is someone else entirely, even if the name sounds kinda similar. They then asked news outlets to take down any wrong pictures or information that are connecting Antarra to it in the first place.
