Good Omens Season 3 Final Episode

The final episode of the Good Omens Season 3 marks a significant shift in the series. Rather than being a multi-episode series, this ends with only a single episode of 90-minutes, and brings closure to the story.

The Prime Video series, Good Omens, is based on the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s 1990s novel of the same name, and follows the story of the demon Crowley (David Tennant) and the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) who team up to battle the anti-Christ.

However, unlike the previous two seasons, which both had 6 episodes, this third and final season only has 1 singular episode, which runs for 90 minutes.

Why does Good Omens Season 3 have 1 Episode Only?

In 2023, Prime Video confirmed that Good Omens will return for its final Season 3 with 6 episodes. But in 2024, Neil Gaiman stepped back from the production of the series, following several sexual assault allegations made by women.

For the same reason, Gaiman was no longer involved in the production, and his production company Blank Corporation also did not work on the final season, which began filming in Scotland in January last year.

Now, nearly a decade after the first season aired, the showrunners deliver a fitting sendoff to this quirky universe. This rushed nature of the finale has earned mixed reactions from critics.

Will there be a Good Omens Season 4?

Prime Video announced that the Good Omens Season 3 will be the last, and there will be no season 4 of Good Omens.

The finale season of Good Omens takes viewers on a journey where love proves to be the central theme throughout. 

Fans have speculated for months about how Aziraphale and Crowley’s relationship will develop. This 90-minute format allows character moments and emotional depth despite the compressed timeline. 

However, new character additions, including an actor playing Jesus in the story, also bring fresh energy to the narrative.
