Grammy-award winning musician Talay Riley died after he was stabbed to death in east London. He was 35. Many artists from the music industry including Stormzy, Wretch 32 and Oritse Williams have paid their tributes to Talay. The 35-year-ol singer-songwriter, whose real name was Mark Orabiyi, has worked with many artists such as Dua Lipa, Zendaya, Khalid, Flo and Chipmunk.

Rapper Stormzy posted, “I’m sorry bro,” while British rapper Wretch 32 said: “Sending love to you & your family bro. Your brother was a gem & will be missed & never forgotten, Never! RIP.”
LS star Williams wrote, “Sending you and your family strength and prayers in Jesus name my brother.”
Kehlani reacted to the sad news and posted, “Big hugs Scribs I’m so sorry.” Khalid wrote: “I’m so sorry bro… I’m sending you so much love.”
Sugababes star Keisha Buchanan also expressed her condolences and prayers.
Talay Riley’s Brother Emotional Instagram Tribute: “Until We Meet Again”
Talay’s brother, Michael Orabiyi, who is also known as record producer and songwriter Scribz Riley, had shared an emotional post on Instagram which included a series of pictures of Talay.
“I never thought the day would come where I’d be writing this, but unfortunately I can confirm that in the morning of Friday 5th June my big brother YINKA (Talay Riley) passed away,” he wrote.
Scribz further mentioned how Riley’s death “feels like a bad dream” and described him as not only his brother who “my mother’s son, a friend to many, a mentor, an inspiration, and a light in so many people’s lives.”
He called him “the purest hearts I’ve ever known”
“He loved deeply, gave freely, and touched countless people through his talent, kindness, and spirit. The outpouring of love already shows how many lives he impacted. You inspired so many people and your legacy will continue to live on through your music, your family, your friends, and everyone blessed enough to have known you. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me and my family, we appreciate you all.”
“Even with everything you accomplished this was far too soon. I love you brother. Thank you for everything. Rest in paradise Yinka. Until we meet again,” he concluded.
Talay Riley Death: What Happened?
According to BBC, Riley was in a garden in Rayleigh Road, Silvertown, where he was attacked and stabbed at around 1:30 PM IST on June 5. He was later taken to hospital. However, doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
There was another victim who was also attacked but his injuries are not life-threatening as per the report.
Three people were arrested in the murder case. A 27-year-old man has been released on bail. Another man aged 24, and a woman, 25, have been released with no further action.
