Gullak Season 5 is back with its next big episode in the life of the Mishra household. As evident from the trailer, life moves at a faster pace for both the boys as they set out on new journeys and face new challenges.

The family is all set to embark on a new adventure as seen from the trailer. The next adventure in the form of buying a house also brings about new disputes, challenges, and fun for the family.

Season 5 is set to feature one prominent character change in the form of Anant V Joshi replacing the previous actor who played Anand ‘Annu’ Mishra to take on the role of the eldest brother of Mishra family.

The fans, who had been sceptical about the change in casting, now seem to be fully convinced after seeing the trailer of the new season. It appears that the new season will mostly focus on Annu because he is all set to take on some added responsibility. The fans are keen to know if Anant lives up to his character like Vaibhav did.

Who is Anant Vijay Joshi?

Anant Vijay Joshi is an Indian actor who is known for his natural acting ability and likable screen persona. Born on 26 October 1989, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, and brought up partly in Almora, Uttarakhand, Anant has created a formidable reputation in the fields of web series and Bollywood movies. He became famous as the main lead in the web series Virgin Bhasskar (2019), in which his comedic abilities and authentic acting style resonated well with the youth. The actor Anant V Joshi is well-known for his naturalistic portrayal of down-to-earth characters, thus marking his position among the rising stars in the film and OTT industry of India.

About ‘Gullak’

The comedy series, Gullak, produced by The Viral Fever, is centered around a regular middle-class family and all their nok-jhok in everything they do. Right from their duties to their problems related to money, this family tackles everything collectively, but they fight and love each other at the same time.

Jameel Khan plays Santosh Mishra, who is the head of the Mishra family. Geetanjali Kulkarni plays Shanti Mishra and is the backbone of the family. The character of Anand ‘Annu’ Mishra was portrayed by Vaibhav Raj Gupta in the first four seasons of Gullak. However, for the upcoming season, this role will be taken by Anant V Joshi. Harsh Mayar plays Aman Mishra and is the youngest son.

Season 5 of Gullak will release on Sony LIV from June 5th.
