He said, “When some divine power is writing a story for you, you do not need to use your mind too much. You only need to surrender. Babaji, you have done this, and whatever happens will be right.”
The actor’s journey with Hanuman Ansh had already begun long before he stepped in front of the camera. He had been working on the production as a second assistant director, making his eventual transition to the lead role all the more unexpected.
According to reports, director Vishal Chaturvedi was impressed by Shobhinaw’s resemblance to Neem Karoli Baba during the trial process. The filmmaker even showed photographs comparing the actor with the spiritual figure while explaining why he felt Shobhinaw was right for the part.

Shobhinaw has said that he has been a devotee of Neem Karoli Baba since 2009 and had followed a spiritual lifestyle for years. He also began following a vegetarian lifestyle in 2018 and fasting on Tuesdays for Lord Hanuman.
Looking back, he felt that his life had somehow prepared him for the role before he even knew that he would eventually play Baba.
He had also been working in the industry behind the camera, with earlier contributions to television and streaming projects. The role in Hanuman Ansh, however, marked his acting debut and suddenly placed him at the centre of a theatrical release.
