It would seem that horror movies are back, judging by how well the box office performance of the latest supernatural thriller film Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past has been throughout its opening weekend. It is obvious that people have flocked in to catch a glimpse of this movie due to its great word of mouth. Based on estimates by the trade monitoring website Sacnilk, the film was able to see an increase in its number of viewers on Sundays.

Having started off well on Friday by making ₹2.53 crore, the movie went on to make ₹3.25 crore on the following day. The increasing trend was carried on to Sunday with the movie earning around ₹3.60 crore which represented a hike of 10.8 percent from the previous day. The total collections of the movie during its opening weekend period amount to around ₹9.38 crore net in India. Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past (Released June 12, 2026) has proved to be a surprise hit at the Indian Box Office. Till date, the movie has earned around ₹9.35 crore net and ₹11.03 crore gross in India.
Strong Occupancy Boosts Collections
Launched on over 4,130 screens worldwide, Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past reported good occupancy rates on Sundays. Particularly, the Hindi 3D movie fared quite well, recording an average of more than 41% occupancy during afternoon screenings.
It has been noted by industry experts that the success of this film can be attributed largely to its visual effects, suspenseful story, and good jump scares. Audiences seem to have responded positively to the film, which boosted its sales.
Weekdays Will Be Crucial
Although having managed to amass a gross total of close to ₹9.5 crores in its opening weekend, the movie has already set up itself as a promising contender at the box office. Nevertheless, whether or not it is able to sustain its popularity until the end of the week will determine its eventual success.
