I Play Rocky First Trailer: Long before Rocky became one of Hollywood’s most celebrated films, Sylvester Stallone was an aspiring actor struggling to make a name for himself. He had written a screenplay about an underdog boxer chasing his dream but there was one thing he refused to compromise on. Stallone wanted to play Rocky Balboa himself even if it meant risking the entire project. That lesser-known chapter now takes centre stage in I Play Rocky whose first trailer has finally been unveiled.

Rather than retelling the boxing drama fans already know, the film shifts the spotlight behind the scenes and follows Stallone’s determination to bring his own story to life despite repeated setbacks.

According to the film’s official synopsis, “The film tells the true story of Sylvester Stallone and his unshakable belief that he wasn’t just meant to write Rocky, he was meant to be Rocky Balboa.”
