Atharvaa’s latest film, Idhayam Murali, has crossed the Rs 15 crore mark at the worldwide box office in just four days after it hit screens. Post a solid opening weekend, the romantic drama saw the usual dip on day one weekday, but it kept going in a steady way, kind of consistent. As per industry estimates, the movie has already made roughly Rs 15.81 crore globally so far.

‘Idhayam Murali’ Witnesses Expected Monday Dip After A Strong Opening Weekend

After a strong opening weekend, Idhayam Murali saw that usual kind of dip in collections on Monday; it happens pretty often with most big theatrical releases. The movie got going at Rs 1.90 crore on its first day, and then it kept inching along through Saturday and Sunday, mostly because the word of mouth stayed positive, which is quite crucial in the end. On Day 4, it’s estimated to have pulled in around Rs 1.50 crore at the Indian box office.

Steady Audience Response Keeps The Film’s Box Office Run On Track

This film, well, it basically follows the main character’s path through life and love and seems to click with audiences because the storytelling feels light and somehow still lands those little emotional beats. There’s also a strong supporting cast working in sync, plus Fahadh Faasil shows up in a cameo that people remember, and that has helped it keep its footing at the box office.

Despite Weekday Slowdown, The Romantic Entertainer Maintains Healthy Momentum

The film’s next challenge is keeping up the momentum on weekdays, when the box office collections kind of slow down. Even with that expected dip, the romantic entertainer has still managed to pull audiences in with its emotional storyline and light, kind of easygoing humor. The makers stay optimistic that if the movie keeps doing well in a steady way, then it can lock in a solid spot at the box office before the new releases come in and hit theatres.

Can ‘Idhayam Murali’ Sustain Its Performance Through The Crucial First Week?

The romantic drama has been gaining some quiet steam, mainly because of positive word of mouth, and people seem to truly like it. But the real situation starts on the weekdays, when collections often ease off a bit. Now if the movie manages to stay steady over the next few days, chances are strong that it will finish the opening week with a solid sum, and that should help it keep moving forward with a pretty successful run.
