The makers also announced that the action drama will hit theatres worldwide on July 23.

Jana Nayagan release date
KVN Productions has confirmed that Jana Nayagan will release in cinemas on July 23 in India. On the other hand, some overseas territories will begin screenings on July 24 due to time-zone differences. The flick is expected to be one of the biggest Tamil releases of the year. Vijay too shared the poster on his Instagram handle.
Cast and plot
Helmed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan features Vijay alongside Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Priyamani, Narain, and Gautham Vasudev Menon. The music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Even though the makers have not officially revealed the complete storyline, the film is billed as a political action thriller. Reports suggest that it draws from the 2023 Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari. However, the production has not formally confirmed the extent of the adaptation.
Vijay’s final film before politics
Jana Nayagan is expected to mark Vijay’s final appearance on the big screen. The actor had earlier announced his decision to step away from acting to focus on his political career through his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
