K-pop phenomenon LE SSERAFIM has joined hands with Indian music sensation Guru Randhawa for the official global remix of their popular song BOOMPALA. This unique collaboration combines the two distinct cultures of K-pop and Punjabi pop, resulting in a unique fusion of music for all their fans. Featuring on major online streaming platforms, the new single BOOMPALA (feat. Guru Randhawa) marks the very first K-pop collaboration for Guru Randhawa and the first ever collaboration of an Indian artist with LE SSERAFIM.
The unique collaboration is brought to you by Warner Music India and gives a new twist to a song that already has created waves internationally. Initially a song created on the basis of Latin-house music beats and featuring a sample from Macarena, BOOMPALA was enjoying immense popularity on international music charts. However, with Guru Randhawa now adding his vocals to the song, the remix now features elements of Indian Punjabi music along with the elements of K-pop and Latin music.
Guru Randhawa Brings His Signature Style
Being excited about the project, Guru Randhawa said that he could instantly feel the festive vibes of the song. Moreover, he said that putting his style into a Latin house K-pop song made him feel that he was doing something different and he was very excited about all of the fans around the world getting to hear it.
The artist, who has worked with many international artists like Pitbull, Jay Sean, The Chainsmokers, Rick Ross and French Montana, is now widening his reach through this collaboration.
LE SSERAFIM Celebrates Connection Through Music
KIM CHAEWON, SAKURA, HUH YUNJIN, KAZUHA and HONG EUNCHAE from LE SSERAFIM too spoke about their excitement about the project. The artists claimed that Guru Randhawa’s musical style gave the song a new zest and allowed them to realize the idea of uniting representatives of various nations with the help of music. They called the remix a great opportunity to work with the Indian audience.
As one could expect, the remix includes not only the original Korean, English and Spanish lyrics but also some new verses in Punjabi. The final result became an absolutely joyful song that turned BOOMPALA into a universal anthem.
