Kavita Kaushik Reacts To Sonam Wangchuk’s Removal, Urges Authorities: ‘Mere Desh Ke Bachchon Par…’

Actor Kavita Kaushik highlighted a moving video that talked about the detention of people protesting against climate change, including Sonam Wangchuk and students in Delhi. The incidents of police brutality against the protesters and the protesters themselves kind of made the problems more visible that the protesters were actually raising in this pro-Indo stronghold, you know.

After the incident, Kavita made an appeal to the Delhi police, with a very heartfelt message, and basically asked them to be compassionate with the protesting students. 

Not long after that, her video spread pretty fast across social media, and a lot of people commented on her courage in stepping out on a limb as well as her concern for the students’ safety.

The whole controversy sort of started really getting bigger after Sonam Wangchuk, along with a handful of students marching in support of constitutional safeguards for Ladakh, got stopped and later removed at the Delhi border.



After that incident, Kavita Kaushik reacted with an emotional appeal to the Delhi Police, and she basically said, in one breath, that the force should pause for a moment and remember there’s a human side to things. She also raised a question about why strict action is even needed against students who, in her view, were only peacefully raising their voices for their homeland and for constitutional rights.

At the centre of Kavita Kaushik’s message, there was that strong emotional appeal: “Mere desh ke bachchon par haath mat uthana.” And how it goes, the line caught attention on social media quite fast, like it spread everywhere with people sharing it while reacting to the protests. She also asked the police to pause and reflect on what happens when force is used on students, because in her view, care should come before authority.

So, continuing her emotional message, Kavita Kaushik urged Delhi Police personnel to look past their uniforms and remember they also have families waiting for them at home. She talked about parents, children, siblings, and loved ones kind of all those close connections, and said that the students protesting on the streets are someone’s kids and also part of someone’s family.

Through her video, Kavita Kaushik basically showed that she is right behind the students and also Sonam Wangchuk, and honestly it felt like it was more than a quick little statement. She underlined that people should be able to raise their concerns peacefully, without actually living in fear or something like that.
