SS Rajamouli’s action-adventure Varanasi has suffered another alleged leak. A new video reportedly featuring Mahesh Babu from a high-voltage action sequence has surfaced online. The clip has gone viral just days before the actor’s birthday on August 9. And fans were expecting a special update from the makers on Mahesh Babu’s special day.
The latest leak has once again put the spotlight on the film’s production. It has already witnessed many unauthorised visuals making their way onto social media over the past few months.
Viral clip hints at intense ghat action sequence
The leaked video is believed to be from Varanasi’s much talked about action sequence shot at the ghats. The footage appears to show Mahesh Babu in a blood-soaked look. It has sparked speculation that it belongs to one of the film’s biggest action scenes.
However, neither the makers nor the production team have confirmed the authenticity of the clip or commented on its circulation.

Not the first leak from the film
This isn’t the first time Varanasi has been hit by leaks. Earlier, visuals allegedly from the film’s cave sequence also surfaced online. It was believed to be the Ugrabhatti Caves set. Those glimpses showcased rock formations, intricately designed stone pillars and extensive blue-screen installations, hinting at the film’s large-scale visual effects.
Before that, photographs from the sets, portions of the announcement glimpse and even Prithviraj Sukumaran’s look had found their way onto social media ahead of official releases. Such instances made Varanasi one of the most frequently leaked Indian films currently in production.
Fans appeal against sharing leaked content
After the latest leak, many fans took to social media urging others not to circulate the footage. Several fan pages requested users to wait for the official promotional material, and argued that repeated leaks undermine the hard work of the cast and crew.
