The battle for the Mirzapur throne is getting a new contender and this time it is Ravi Kishan’s Babban Babua who appears ready to challenge the established order. The trailer of Mirzapur The Movie introduces Kishan as a new face in the franchise and wastes little time establishing that his character has his eyes firmly set on the gaddi.
Kishan’s character, who is a ruthless rival gangster, appears to have his own plans for Mirzapur. His brief exchange with Kaleen Bhaiya in the trailer gives a glimpse of the confrontation waiting to unfold on the big screen. He challenges the existing power structure and directly goes head-to-head with Kaleen Bhaiya to seize control of the Mirzapur throne.

One of the trailer’s key moments features Babban Babua openly talking about the Mirzapur throne.
“Mirzapur ki gaddi ke bare mein sune hai,” Babua says.
Kaleen Bhaiya, who has spent years defending his position at the top of the Mirzapur power structure, is quick to shut him down.
“Mirzapur mein ek hi darwaza hai, Yadav ji. Dusra koi ni khulega,” he tells him.
But Babua clearly isn’t someone who intends to take no for an answer.
He responds, “Nahi khula toh tod denge,” before breaking into a sinister laugh.
The short exchange immediately sets up a power clash between the two characters.
Who Is Returning In Mirzapur The Movie?
The film brings back several key members of the original ensemble. Pankaj Tripathi reprises his role as Kaleen Bhaiya, the powerful figure whose hold over Mirzapur has been at the centre of the story.
Ali Fazal returns as Guddu Pandit, while Divyenndu is back as Munna Bhaiya. Their characters have been connected by years of rivalry, revenge and shifting power equations.
Rasika Dugal returns as Beena Tripathi while Shweta Tripathi Sharma reprises her role as Golu Gupta.
The returning cast also includes Abhishek Banerjee as Compounder, Anjum Sharma as Sharad Shukla and Shriya Pilgaonkar as Sweety Gupta.

The film is a theatrical adaptation of the popular Mirzapur franchise which began streaming on Prime Video in 2018.

The movie takes that world to cinemas with its established characters returning alongside new additions to the ensemble.
