Rajpal Yadav Bail Plea: The Delhi High Court denied all relief requests from actor Rajpal Yadav in his cheque bounce case because the court found him to be untrustworthy after he broke his prior commitments. The bench found him to be imprisoned because he failed to fulfill his court obligations, which he had promised to keep.
The bail hearing will resume on February 16 after the complainant submits his response to the court.

The reports indicate that Rajpal Yadav took out a loan from Murli Projects Private Limited to fund his wife’s film Ata Pata Laapata, which he released around 2010. The total debt amount allegedly reached almost Rs 9 crore because the principal amount, together with interest and penalties, remained unpaid.
The sessions court delivered a six-month prison sentence to him in May 2024, due to his involvement in the cheque bounce case. His sentence from the court was suspended after he informed the High Court that he would repay Rs 2.5 crore through installment payments, but he failed to complete the required payments.
Rajpal Yadav Bail Plea: What Did the Court Say?
Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma explained that Yadav did not end up in prison because of an unexpected decision, but he lost his freedom because he repeatedly disobeyed the rules of his settlement agreement. The court documented that he and his lawyers presented themselves to the court numerous times, which included making guarantees through video conferencing.Â
The hearing has been postponed to a later date.
Yadav’s lawyer told the court during the afternoon session that he failed to contact the actor for guidance. The High Court then postponed the matter until February 16.
