According to the official lineup, the session will begin at 3:15 AM IST and feature Ranbir, Yash, Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra.

The official Comic-Con website describes the film as: “In an age of gods and kings, the fate of worlds hangs in the balance. Rama, a prince bound by duty, sacrifice and the greater good, must face Ravana, an immortal ruler driven by pride and vengeance, powerful enough to shatter the cosmos.”
It further states: “Namit Malhotra, founder of Prime Focus, and global CEO of visual effects powerhouse DNEG, is joined by Ranbir Kapoor (Rama), Yash (Ravana) and director Nitesh Tiwari for an exclusive first look at the largest cinematic undertaking in Indian film history and a sweeping new retelling of one of the world’s oldest and most enduring epics.”
Ramayana San Diego Comic-Con Debut: Why The Debut Will Be A Big Moment?
Presenting Ramayana on such a big platform marks major milestone for the makers in their international promotional approach. Instead of just limiting the promotions in India, they are introducing Ramayana on a platform which is associated with major Hollywood franchises.
The film also becomes only the second Indian movie after Kalki 2898 AD to receive a major showcase at San Diego Comic-Con.
Ramayana San Diego Comic-Con Debut: Will A Trailer Be Released Before Presentation?
Before heading to the US, the makers are reportedly planning to kick off the film’s India promotions. According to reports, the first trailer is expected to be unveiled on July 18 during a grand event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
While the makers have not officially confirmed the launch, the event is expected to offer fans their most detailed look at the film before its international presentation.
Ramayana San Diego Comic-Con Debut: Will Hans Zimmer And AR Rahman Attend?
Reports also suggest that celebrated composers Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman who have collaborated on the film’s music, could make promotional appearances at international events as part of the film’s global campaign.
But again, the makers have not officially confirmed their participation at Comic-Con.
Ramayana: Cast And Release Date
Ramayana features Ranbir as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
The first installment is scheduled to release in theatres on Diwali 2026 while the second part will arrive on Diwali 2027.
