Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has achieved another major streaming milestone. After becoming one of the biggest films of the year, Aditya Dhar’s action thriller has now emerged as Netflix’s biggest Indian film globally in 2026. According to Netflix’s latest biannual engagement report, Dhurandhar recorded 37 million views, making it the platform’s most-watched non-English film and the biggest Indian acquired film title between January and June 2026.

Netflix released its engagement report on Friday, revealing what audiences watched on the platform during the first half of 2026. The streaming giant also noted that India recorded its biggest-ever first half on Netflix in terms of viewing.

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar Dominates Netflix India 

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar follows an Indian spy who infiltrates terrorist networks in Pakistan. The action thriller features an ensemble cast led by Ranveer Singh, along with R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal.

With 37 million views, the film emerged as Netflix India’s biggest Indian title of 2026, leaving several popular films and series behind.

Here’s how the top Indian titles ranked:

1. Dhurandhar – 37 million views

Ranveer Singh’s blockbuster not only became Netflix’s most-watched Indian film but also secured the title of the platform’s most-watched non-English film globally.

2. Accused – 19 million views

Among Netflix India’s original titles, Accused emerged as the most-watched Indian original of 2026 so far. Directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and backed by Karan Johar, the MeToo drama stars Konkona Sen Sharma and Pratibha Ranta.

3. Made in Korea – 18 million views

The second most-watched Indian original on Netflix was Made in Korea, which registered 18 million views. Written and directed by Ra Karthik, the coming-of-age drama stars Priyanka Mohan alongside South Korean actors Park Hye-jin and No Ho-jin. The film follows a young woman from a small town in Tamil Nadu as she navigates life in the unfamiliar streets of Seoul, South Korea.

4. Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web – 16 million views

The Emraan Hashmi-led series secured the third spot among Netflix India’s original titles. Created by Neeraj Pandey, the crime thriller follows a team of Indian Customs Service officers stationed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport as they take on an international smuggling network.

Hollywood Titles That Dominated Netflix Globally

While Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar ruled the Indian charts, several Hollywood and international titles dominated Netflix’s global rankings. Among international films, War Machine emerged as the most-watched title with 147 million views.

It was followed by:

  • The RIP – 136 million views

  • Swapped – 131 million views

  • KPop Demon Hunters – 130 million views

  • Apex – 129 million views

On the series front, His and Hers topped Netflix’s global charts with 104 million views.

The most-watched global series included:

  • Bridgerton Season 4 – 100 million views

  • I Will Find You – 64 million views

  • Stranger Things – 56 million views

  • Runaway – 50 million views

Netflix Records Biggest-Ever First Half Of 2026

Explaining its methodology, Netflix said the engagement report measures success not only through total hours watched but also through the reach of a title, represented by views.

According to the report, audiences watched more than 97 billion hours of content on Netflix between January and June 2026, marking the platform’s highest-ever viewing for a six-month period.
