Tom Holland is in Mumbai and while fans are excited to catch a glimpse of the Spider-Man star, there’s another detail grabbing attention — the luxury hotel that’s hosting him during his India visit. The British actor has checked into Mumbai’s iconic Taj Mahal Palace ahead of the Indian premiere of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey.
Here’s a closer look at where Holland is staying and why the hotel’s most exclusive suite has everyone talking.
Tom Holland Arrives In Mumbai For The Odyssey
Tom Holland landed in Mumbai on Thursday as part of The Odyssey’s global promotional tour. Videos from Mumbai’s Kalina Airport quickly went viral, showing the actor leaving in a black car before heading straight to the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.
This marks Holland’s second visit to India after his 2023 trip. Joining him in Mumbai are Oscar-winning filmmaker Christopher Nolan, producer Emma Thomas and the film’s lead star, Matt Damon. The visit is particularly significant as The Odyssey becomes the first Christopher Nolan film to receive a grand premiere in India, with Mumbai joining cities like London, Paris and New York on the film’s worldwide promotional tour.
Inside The Taj Mahal Palace’s Luxurious Tata Suite
While it’s not officially confirmed which room Holland is staying in, the Taj Mahal Palace’s Tata Suite remains the hotel’s most talked-about accommodation. Designed as a private luxury residence, the suite features two spacious bedrooms, a grand living room, a formal dining area, a private office, a lounge, and a meeting room that can host up to 15 guests. It also comes with a butler’s pantry, a private gym, a spa complete with a sauna, and the option to connect to an additional bedroom.
The interiors are equally impressive. Period architecture, handcrafted heritage furniture, elegant artwork and cultural artefacts give the suite a regal feel, making it one of India’s most prestigious hotel accommodations.
A recent social media video by an Indian-Australian content creator offered viewers a rare look inside the suite. The walkthrough showcased multiple living spaces, a walk-in wardrobe, conference facilities and wellness areas, making it feel more like a luxury apartment than a hotel room.
The creator claimed the suite costs around Rs 50 lakh per night. However, several reports suggest the actual amount is considerably lower, with estimates ranging between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 12 lakh per night, depending on the season and booking.
