What did Aanchal Khurana say about Sanchita Ugale?
In an emotional video posted to her Instagram account, Khurana spoke directly to the cameras about a system that eats talent alive while ignoring the human beings on the other side of the screen.

The problems in the system
Khurana didn’t hold back on how production houses handle performers. She talked about an environment where standing up for yourself, preserving your self-respect, or refusing inappropriate personal advances can cost you your job in an instant.
Khurana alleged that actors are treated as completely replaceable. If a performer speaks out during a creative dispute or firmly sets boundaries against inappropriate behavior, production teams find it entirely too easy to cut their days or replace them altogether.
Even when an actor is a flawless performer, Khurana claimed they face rejection over tiny financial disagreements sometimes getting dropped to save a production house as little as 1,000 rupees.
She went on to explain the daily life of an actor, which is to wake up with hope, give your all at an audition and go to sleep with the weight of constant rejection.
Khurana challenged the repetitive advice actors receive to simply stay tough. She asked, with genuine exhaustion, how many times a person is expected to rebuild themselves after the system is constantly breaking them down.
A Personal Battle for Aanchal Khurana
This isn’t an abstract critique for Khurana; it’s a reality she has survived. She admitted to battling severe depression and suffocating stress brought on by the exact same industry dynamics.
Urging young artists and digital creators never to take a fatal, irreversible step, she offered a piece of survival advice: know when to walk away. Khurana shared that when the isolation and pressure of Mumbai become too heavy, she packs her bags and heads home. She is currently staying with her parents in Delhi to protect her peace of mind, reminding her peers that neither selfish television channels nor corporate producers will show up for you during a mental health crisis.
What Happened to Sanchita Ugale?
Local authorities are still trying to piece together the final hours leading up to the tragedy. According to the Achole Police, the incident occurred between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM on June 14, 2026, at Ugale’s family residence in the Sai Santoshi Building.
Sanchita locked herself in the bedroom and took her life. When her family and neighbours discovered this, they rushed her to Vasai-Virar Municipal Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival. Following a formal complaint by her father, Machhindra Ugale, the police filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR) under Section 194 of the BNSS, and an inquiry has started.
