Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce may have managed to keep their wedding away from the usual celebrity frenzy but the NFL star has finally offered fans a glimpse into just how special the big day was for him. With the couple keeping details of their wedding largely under wraps, Kelce recently opened up about marrying Swift while discussing the occasion with ESPN anchor Chris Berman.
And yes, he had plenty of love to share for his new wife.
Travis Kelce Says ‘Marrying Taylor Was More Than I Could Have Ever Dreamed It To Be’
Ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ first game of the season, Kelce sat down with Patrick Mahomes and ESPN anchor Chris Berman for an interview that is set to air on Monday, September 14, ahead of the Chiefs’ game against the Denver Broncos.
A clip from the conversation aired on ESPN on Friday, September 11, where Berman wasted no time bringing up the biggest question surrounding Kelce.
He asked, “I heard you got married. Is this true?”
Kelce happily confirmed the news, replying, “This is true, this is true,” before teasing Berman with, “Didn’t I see you there?”
But the football star became more sentimental when talking about the wedding itself. Kelce said, “It was the best night of my life. Marrying Taylor was more than I could have ever dreamed it to be because of all the people that showed up, and the amount of, you know, love that was in the air.”
Travis Kelce’s Teammate Has A Fun Wedding Memory Too
Kelce wasn’t the only one reminiscing about the celebration. His Chiefs teammate and close friend Patrick Mahomes also shared his own memory from the wedding.
Mahomes said, “My perspective, it was a lot of fun, I did a little dancing. I didn’t know if I was gonna be able to dance, and it was good to get my first dancing experience of the offseason.”

Swift and Kelce tied the knot on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with nearly 1,000 guests attending the celebration. The guest list included several of Kelce’s Chiefs teammates and head coach Andy Reid, alongside a host of major names from the entertainment world.
Among the reported celebrity guests were Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Adam Sandler and Zoë Kravitz.
The wedding was officiated by the couple’s friend, actor and comedian Adam Sandler. Swift and Kelce also skipped the traditional bridesmaid-and-groomsmen setup. Instead, Swift’s brother Austin Swift served as her man of honor while Kelce’s brother Jason Kelce took on the role of best man.
Travis Kelce Calls Taylor Swift Wedding ‘Magical’
Kelce previously opened up about the wedding on the September 2 episode of his New Heights podcast where he described the celebration as a “night out we’ll never forget.”
He continued, “Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up, from the vows to just seeing everyone, to how much fun we had, throughout the entire evening and hearing that, kind of be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night. And it was just so magical, man.”
