Just as The Real Housewives of Orange County returns for its milestone 20th season, cast member Jennifer Pedranti has found herself addressing a personal matter off screen. The reality TV star has spoken publicly after one of her sons was allegedly involved in a brush fire that spread across seven acres in Southern California earlier this week.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Pedranti shared a statement where she addressed what she described as the “rumblings” surrounding the incident. While she did not reveal which of her four sons was involved, she confirmed that her child and other minors were part of the incident and apologised to the local community.
Jennifer Pedranti Calls It A Serious Learning Moment
In her statement, Pedranti wrote, “He and others were involved. My ex-husband [William Pedranti] and myself take this very serious. This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community. This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family.”
She went on to express gratitude that the situation did not end in tragedy.
Pedranti said her family was thankful that no one was injured and no homes or other property were damaged in the fire. She also praised the firefighters and police officers who handled the situation well and gave the boys an experience they would not forget.
The reality star added that although no arrests were made, her son would still face consequences. According to Pedranti, he will complete a fire safety course to better understand the dangers of such incidents. She also said her family would ensure he learns from the mistake and takes responsibility for his actions.
Fire Spread Across Seven Acres
According to authorities, the fire broke out on the afternoon of July 7 near Narrow Canyon Road and Acaster Way in Ladera Ranch, located in southern Orange County at around 4:45 PM local time.
Emergency crews, including both ground and air teams, responded to the scene after the blaze was reported. The fire eventually spread across nearly seven acres of vegetation before firefighters managed to contain it.
Officials said the flames were stopped before reaching nearby homes to prevent any structural damage. No injuries were reported during the incident.
Authorities have also confirmed that several minors were interviewed at the scene as part of the investigation. But no arrests have been made and officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
