Chris Pratt is heading back into action as James Reece. Prime Video has unveiled the first look at The Terminal List Season 2 which will bring back Pratt as the former Navy SEAL commander for the next chapter of the action thriller.
The new season comes more than four years after the first installment that premiered in July 2022. This time, the story moves beyond the revenge driven plot of Season 1 and takes Reece into a much bigger international mission.
Chris Pratt Returns As James Reece
Pratt will once again play James Reece, the former Navy SEAL at the centre of the series.
“Throughout the boat scenes, I was battling E. coli and something called tick-bite fever, which I had contracted in Africa,” Pratt said.
The Terminal List Season 2 Takes The Story Around The World
The upcoming season is set to expand the scale of the series. While the first season focused heavily on Reece’s search for answers following an ambush involving his Navy SEAL team, the new story takes him into an international espionage plot.
The season will travel across locations in Africa, the Middle East and Europe as Reece gets pulled into a larger conspiracy. The first look also shows him undergoing sniper training, suggesting that his military skills will remain central to the story.
Gabriel Luna Joins The Cast
Gabriel Luna is joining the series as former Navy SEAL Freddy Strain. In the first-look material, Luna appears alongside Pratt’s Reece as the two train together.
Tom Hopper is also returning as Raife Hastings. The cast further includes several returning members from the first season, while the new additions expand the world of the series.
Based On Jack Carr’s True Believer
Season 2 continues the show’s adaptation of author Jack Carr’s James Reece book series. This time, the story is based on True Believer, the second novel in the series.
The first season was based on Carr’s 2018 novel The Terminal List and introduced viewers to Reece after his SEAL platoon was ambushed during a covert operation. After returning home, he began questioning what had happened and eventually set out to uncover the forces behind the attack.
The franchise has also expanded with the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, which focuses on Taylor Kitsch’s character Ben Edwards.
When And Where To Watch The Terminal List Season 2?
According to Deadline, The Terminal List Season 2 will have eight episodes, with all eight set to premiere on Prime Video on October 21, 2026.
