The greatest show on Broadway is about to unfold. The 79th Annual Tony Awards are scheduled for June 7, 2026, at Radio City Music Hall, where the greatest stars of theatre will come together for a spectacular event of performances and awards.
When and Where to Watch
The event will be aired live by CBS Television starting from 8 p.m. ET time, and the event will also be available to be streamed on Paramount+. Before the actual telecast of the event, the event’s pre-show called The Tony Awards: Act One will be streamed from 6.35 p.m. ET to 8 p.m. ET by Pluto TV. The live airing on CBS is also available through live TV streaming services like YouTube TV, Fubo TV, and Hulu + Live TV. Pink Takes Centre Stage as Host
Pink, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, will host this year’s show. In this regard, Pink has described how excited she is to host Broadway’s greatest night. According to her, hosting the Tony Awards is one of the greatest achievements of her life, and Broadway has played an integral role in making it possible for her. She commended the Broadway community for being creative, welcoming, and committed.
Star-Studded Performances Planned
Performances can be expected from the four nominees for Best Musical: The Lost Boys, Schmigadoon!, Titaníque and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York). Also, there will be performances from the productions which have been nominated for Best Musical Revival: Cats: The Jellicle Ball, Ragtime and The Rocky Horror Show.
Some significant anniversaries will be recognized on that day too. Pink, the host, will be among the many celebrities who will pay tribute to Chicago, honoring the legacy of this highly successful production. Some of the other stars participating will include Queen Latifah, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Alex Newell, Adrienne Warren and Cedric the Entertainer.
Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells are just two among several stars from the original cast of The Book of Mormon who will perform together again to mark the 15th anniversary of the musical on Broadway. On the other hand, Rachel Zegler will be performing at an event that will pay homage to the 50th anniversary of the play A Chorus Line. Finally, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Rent, Leslie Odom Jr. will sing the song “Without You.”

In the list of celebrity presenters at the Tony Awards ceremony in 2026, there are both stars of Hollywood films and renowned actors of Broadway shows. Among the presenters will be such stars as Adrien Brody, Annette Bening, Ariana DeBose, Ben Platt, Bernadette Peters, Billy Crystal, Bowen Yang, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Maya Rudolph, Megan Thee Stallion, Neil Patrick Harris, Sting, among many others.
The combination of major musical acts, celebration events, star-studded presenters, as well as the highest accolades of Broadway is sure to make the 2026 Tony Awards one of the best events of the year.
