Vijay Deverakonda celebrated his birthday with fans outside his residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, on Sunday, and videos from the event have quickly taken over social media. The actor came out to greet the huge crowd gathered outside his home and later joined them for a cheerful cake-cutting celebration.
Among the many clips circulating online, one particular moment has especially captured fans’ attention. In the video, Vijay is seen lovingly feeding a piece of cake to a young girl fan after cutting his birthday cake. Surrounded by loud cheers and excitement from supporters, the actor bent down to personally offer the cake to the child, a gesture that many fans described as “adorable” and “wholesome” online.

The celebrations became even more exciting with the appearance of Rashmika Mandanna, who was also spotted during the festivities. Dressed in a cream-coloured outfit, Rashmika waved at fans from the balcony while Vijay greeted the crowd below. Vijay’s mother, Madhavi Deverakonda, was also seen participating in the birthday celebrations.
This birthday held special significance for Vijay as it marked his first birthday after marrying Rashmika earlier this year. The couple tied the knot in Udaipur on February 26 after years of dating rumours and speculation surrounding their relationship.

Meanwhile, Vijay’s brother Anand Deverakonda shared unseen wedding pictures on Instagram while wishing him on his birthday. The photos featured candid moments of Vijay and Rashmika from their wedding celebrations along with family portraits that included parents Govardhan Rao and Madhavi.
To make the occasion even more memorable, the makers of Rowdy Janardhana unveiled a brand-new poster featuring Vijay on May 9. Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, known for films like Raja Vaaru Rani Gaaru and Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam, the movie is set against a rural backdrop with political themes. Since it is Vijay’s next project after Kingdom, excitement around the film has been steadily growing, and the new poster further boosted anticipation.
The poster shows Vijay standing in the rain with his shirt unbuttoned while a woman rests her leg on his chest, hinting at a romantic angle in the story. He is also seen holding a gun pointed downward, symbolising that the character chooses love over violence. The caption on the poster reads, “A man who battles the world but yields only to love,” teasing an emotional and intense storyline.

Keerthy Suresh plays the female lead in the film. Although Vijay and Keerthy previously appeared together in Mahanati, this marks their first full-fledged pairing on screen.
The movie features music by Christo Xavier and cinematography by Anand C. Chandran. Production is currently underway, and the makers are planning a theatrical release in the second half of 2026. Producer Dil Raju revealed that Vijay will be using the East Godavari dialect for the first time in his career, adding authenticity to the character. His body language and dialogue delivery in the promotional material have already impressed fans, showing a more intense side of the actor.
The film’s pooja ceremony was attended by filmmaker Hanu Raghavapudi, Dil Raju, and Allu Arvind.
Keerthy Suresh was last seen in Revolver Rita, a crime comedy directed by JK Chandru. The film was backed by Passion Studios and The Route.
Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in Kingdom, an action thriller directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film, co-produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, also starred Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse. Designed as the first part of a duology, the story revolved around a police officer who goes undercover on a mission that eventually leads him to his estranged brother, a smuggler. The film received mixed reviews after its release.
