Naman Shaw and Ram Kapoor shared screen space in Ekta Kapoor’s popular daily soap Kasamh Se, which premiered in 2006. Recalling an incident from the show’s successful run, Naman said a journalist had visited the set and asked Ram about his experience of working with him.
According to Naman, Ram unexpectedly pulled him close, kissed him on the cheek and praised him as an actor. Ram also jokingly commented on Naman’s physique, saying, “Oh, I love Naman. He’s a great actor. He’s an actor with a great ass, and I get inspiration from him.”

Naman admitted that the incident was overwhelming, especially because he was new to the television industry at the time. “My family was also quite upset and concerned after seeing the headlines. Being so new to the industry at that time, it was definitely quite overwhelming to deal with,” he said.

I was absolutely cool with it, but not everyone may be comfortable with that kind of affection or expression. Some people might genuinely get offended or feel awkward.”

Amid the controversy, Ram Kapoor’s wife, actor Gautami Kapoor, has publicly stood by her husband. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared a video compilation of Ram smiling and interacting with contestants on Lock Upp 2.
