Travis Kelce has finally shared his first reaction to his wedding with Taylor Swift and the Kansas City Chiefs did not hold back when describing the celebration. Speaking to reporters at training camp on Wednesday, August 12, Kelce was asked about his offseason and his much talked about wedding to the pop superstar.
“It was a fun offseason, man. Wedding was the best night of my life, and I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us,” Kelce said as quoted by People.
The NFL star also described the celebration as “a crazy night” and said the evening was “full of a lot of celebration.” With his wedding festivities now behind him, Kelce made it clear that his attention has shifted back to football.
When Did Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Get Married?
Kelce and Swift tied the knot on July 3 at the Madison Square Garden in the New York City.
The wedding drew around 1,000 guests with celebrities such as Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, the Haim sisters, Ellie Goulding, Benson Boone, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, The Chicks, Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams Paisley, Hugh Grant, Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner, Zoë Kravitz, Jason Sudeikis, Ethan Hawke, Jimmy Fallon, Tommy Hilfiger along with Selena Gomez and Blanco.
NFL Stars Also Joined The Wedding Celebrations
Kelce’s wedding was not just a Hollywood event. Several major names from the NFL world were also present as the football star celebrated with Swift.
Former NFL stars Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski were among those who attended, alongside members of the Chiefs organisation.
Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Were ‘Beaming’ At Their Wedding
While Kelce has now spoken publicly about the wedding, a source shared People shortly after the wedding that Swift and Kelce were “beaming” throughout the night.
The insider said, “A huge smile never left either of their faces.”
How Did Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Started Their Relationship?
Swift and Kelce’s relationship began in a rather unexpected way. In July 2023, Kelce attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Kansas City and tried to get her attention by making a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. He did not manage to give it to her but later spoke about the failed attempt on his New Heights podcast. Swift eventually heard about his effort and the two began getting to know each other.
Their relationship soon became public with Swift attending Kansas City Chiefs games to support Kelce and the NFL star later making a surprise appearance during her Eras Tour show at Wembley Stadium in June 2024.
By August 2025, the couple had announced their engagement before tying the knot at Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026.
