Dhanda Nyoliwala has become one of the most recognisable names in Haryanvi hip-hop and his growing presence in mainstream entertainment is introducing his music to an even wider audience. The rapper is among the artists featured on the soundtrack of Mirzapur: The Movie, with his track Do Numbari adding another Haryanvi rap number to the film’s music lineup.

But who is Dhanda Nyoliwala and how did a rapper from Haryana build a following that now extends well beyond the regional music scene?

Who Is Dhanda Nyoliwala?

Dhanda Nyoliwala is the stage name of Parveen Dhanda, a Haryanvi rapper, singer, lyricist and composer. He grew up in Nyoli Kalan, Haryana, and his stage name itself reflects his connection to his hometown. He later moved to Australia, where he continued developing his music career while maintaining a strong connection to his Haryanvi roots.

His music stands out for its combination of Haryanvi lyrics with contemporary hip-hop, trap and drill influences. Spotify describes him as an artist who helped pioneer a Haryanvi drill sound, bringing regional language and identity into a modern rap format.

How Did Dhanda Nyoliwala Start His Music Career?

Dhanda’s rise was closely linked to the emergence of a new sound in Haryanvi hip-hop. He began releasing music independently and gained attention for tracks that combined the language and cultural identity of Haryana with international rap production. His early work included “AFGAN” and “First Haryanvi Drill”, while songs such as “Up To U” helped him reach a much larger audience.

“Up To U” became particularly important to his rise. Spotify notes that the song reached No. 1 on both its Spotify and Shazam India charts, helping establish Dhanda as a major name in the Haryanvi rap space.

What Are Dhanda Nyoliwala’s Most Popular Songs?

Over the years, Dhanda Nyoliwala has built a catalogue that includes “Russian Bandana,” “Knife Brows,” “Up To U,” “No Mercy,” “Jat Clan,” “Black Ride” and “Not Guilty.” His music has accumulated millions of streams, while his songs have also become popular across social-media platforms.

His 2026 releases include “Zigane,” “Boom Shaka,” “Big Plans,” “Panamera” and “Revenge of a Warrior,” showing how quickly his catalogue continues to expand.

Why Is Dhanda Nyoliwala Popular?

One of the biggest reasons behind Dhanda’s popularity is that he has not attempted to distance himself from his regional identity. Instead, Haryanvi language, rural imagery and Haryana’s cultural identity remain central to his music. At the same time, his production incorporates sounds associated with global hip-hop, particularly drill and trap.

Dhanda Nyoliwala’s Connection With Mirzapur The Movie

Dhanda Nyoliwala is now also part of the Mirzapur: The Movie soundtrack. His song “Do Numbari” appears on the film’s official nine-song soundtrack, released in August 2026. The track has given the rapper another opportunity to reach audiences who may know Mirzapur primarily through its hugely popular characters and franchise rather than through Haryanvi hip-hop.

Where Is Dhanda Nyoliwala From?

Dhanda Nyoliwala comes from Nyoli Kalan in Haryana. His hometown is an important part of his artistic identity and is reflected directly in his stage name. He later moved to Australia, but his music has continued to prominently represent his Haryanvi roots.

What Makes Dhanda Nyoliwala Different From Other Haryanvi Rappers?

Dhanda’s biggest strength is his ability to combine a distinctly Haryanvi identity with the sound of contemporary global hip-hop. Rather than treating regional language as a limitation, he has made it the centre of his music. His drill-inspired production, direct lyrics and strong visual identity have helped him build a loyal audience in India as well as among listeners overseas.
