For a while, the internet has been buzzing with rumours about actor Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur’s alleged relationship. Who is Aishwarya Rajinikanth?
Born on 1 January 1982 in Chennai, Aishwarya Rajinikanth is the eldest daughter of superstar Rajinikanth. She is an Indian film director, writer, and playback singer. She has directed films such as 3 (2012) and Vai Raja Vai (2015).
Aishwarya had always been the backbone of her ex-husband Dhanush, supporting him during his breakthrough success in 2012, when he created the famous song ‘Why This Kolaveri Di’, which not only went viral but also became a global hit.
The director tied the knot with actor Dhanush in 2004, and the couple has two sons, Yatra Raja and Linga Raja. She is also a trained classical dancer and has served as a judge on the dance reality show Jodi Number One.
Years after their marriage, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa announced their separation via social media in 2022.
Why did Dhanush and Aishwarya separate?

Anyone who knows him can tell that he puts his work before anything else. There have been many instances when his work commitments, travelling between cities, and outdoor film shoots have taken a toll on his family life.”

They announced their separation through social media posts, saying they have reached the zenith where carrying forward the relationship was not possible, and through mutual decision, they have chosen to go their separate ways.
The social media post announcing the separation read, “18 years of togetherness as friends, as a couple, as parents, and as well-wishers to each other. The journey has been one of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting.

Are Dhanush and Mrunal getting married?
During an interview, Mrunal clarified that she and Dhanush are only good friends. However, it was observed that their closeness increased during the filming of Mrunal’s South Indian projects. An insider later agreed that the two are dating but confirmed that they have no plans to make their relationship official.
“Yes, it’s true that they are dating. But it’s too new, and they have no plans to make their relationship official before the public or the media. At the same time, they’re unfazed about going out and being spotted. Friends are truly rooting for them, as they are quite similar and compatible when it comes to their values, choices, and thoughts,” the insider added.
However, no official confirmation has been released by Dhanush and Mrunal regarding their relationship.
