Daughter of Rita Spratt, Gauri comes from a multicultural family background. While her father has Tamil-British heritage, her mother comes from a Punjabi-Irish family. Her grandfather Philip Spratt was a British-born communist who became associated with India’s freedom movement during the 1920s.
Gauri was previously associated with a salon in Bangalore. She has lived in the city for most of her life. According to her LinkedIn profile, Gauri pursued her early education at Blue Mountain School. Later, she received a degree in a fashion course, FDA Styling & Photography, from the University of the Arts, London. Currently, she is reported to be running a BBlunt salon in Mumbai, too.
During her previous interaction with the media, Gauri had confirmed that she was also working with Aamir at his production house. A mother to a six-year-old child, she and Aamir have been friends for 25 years. They started dating a few years ago, after the actor separated from his second wife, Kiran Rao.

Aamir, in a past interaction, shared that he first met Gauri around 25 years ago. The two went their separate ways only to reunite years later, thanks to their mutual friends. After their paths crossed again, the two became friends with each other and soon, sparks flew between them.

In his words, “I am very lucky that I met Gauri, and our relationship started together. She is great; I feel at peace with her. Although my relationships with (ex-wives) Kiran (Rao) and Reena (Dutta) were also very deep, things didn’t work out. When you asked, I felt that I am very blessed that Gauri entered my life. We are very happy together.”
