Jamie Lynn Spears is revisiting one of the most traumatic moments of her life after opening up about the 2017 ATV accident that nearly took the life of her daughter, Maddie.
In a recent interview with People, the actress talked about on the frightening incident involving her now 18-year-old daughter. Looking back at that day, Jamie Lynn admitted she believed she had lost her child after an ATV accident on their family property in Louisiana.
“That was the day I thought I’d lost my daughter. Against all odds, this baby girl fought to be here,” she said.
Recalling Maddie’s recovery, Jamie shared a moment she still considers a “miracle.” After spending two days in a coma, Maddie suddenly reacted while a priest had been called to administer her last rites.
“He comes in, and she physically sits up in all her restraints and tubes,” Jamie remembered. “We were given a miracle, and I don’t take it for granted.”
The emotional memory has once again put the spotlight on Jamie Lynn Spears, who has spent much of her life in the public eye.
Who Is Jamie Lynn Spears?
Jamie is an American actress, singer and television personality. She first became famous as a child star on Nickelodeon and is also known as the younger sister of pop superstar Britney Spears.
Her acting career began at a young age. She made an appearance in the 2002 film Crossroads, which starred her sister, before joining Nickelodeon’s sketch comedy series All That. But it was her lead role as Zoey Brooks in the hit teen show Zoey 101 that turned her into a household name among younger audiences.
