The intimate proposal took place in a garden overlooking the sea and marked a new chapter in the couple’s long-distance relationship. The photos have now gone viral with fans and members of the television industry congratulating the couple.
According to a report by Mid-Day, Kaaran Dhanak is a US-based businessman. But Jiya has largely kept her relationship away from the spotlight and her team had earlier issued a statement requesting privacy regarding her personal life.

Along with dreamy pictures from the proposal, Jiya penned an emotional note that highlighted on her relationship with Kaaran and the challenges of maintaining a long-distance romance.
She wrote, “So maybe it is true, you do find love when you least expect it, but God really tested my patience here. It wasn’t easy, but somehow it still was. Every conversation with you, even though you were thousands of miles away from me, felt like home. This journey wasn’t easy, but we chose each other every single day.”
The actress went on to thank her fiancé for standing by her through every phase of their relationship.
“You showed me the love I waited my whole life for. You made me laugh on my toughest days. Held me a lil tighter every time at airport goodbyes like your heart was breaking into a thousand pieces. No matter where we were in the world – home was never a place; it was always you.”

Who Is Jiya Shankar?
Jiya Shankar is a television and film actress who has worked across Hindi television, Marathi cinema and reality television.
She first gained recognition with her role as Dr Ira Pandey in Meri Hanikarak Biwi before appearing as Susheela Ruhail Solanki in SAB TV’s Kaatelal & Sons. Over the years, she has built a strong presence on television. Jiya later played the lead role in Colors TV’s supernatural drama Pishachini.
The actress also participated in Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 in 2023. She remained one of the prominent contestants throughout the season and stayed in the house until Day 54.
Apart from television, Jiya also appeared in the Marathi blockbuster Ved (2022) which also starred Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh.
