After nearly four years together, YouTube sensation MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has officially married longtime partner Thea Booysen. The couple exchanged vows in July 2026 during a private, week long wedding celebration on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
MrBeast sharing the pictures from the wedding on his social media along with the caption, “I found MrsBeast and it was the best day of my life.”
Calling the wedding “just a formality,” Booysen told People that marriage had always been part of their plans. “Ever since we started dating we’ve been doing it with the goal of marriage. The difference is now the world knows we’re married,” she said.

Who Is Thea Booysen?
Booysen is a South African content creator, esports commentator and online gamer who is popularly known by her creator name, TheaBeasty. She began streaming gaming content on YouTube and Twitch in 2016 and later became the co-owner of South African esports organisation Nixuh, according to People.
Apart from gaming, Booysen has built an impressive academic profile. She graduated from Stellenbosch University with a bachelor’s degree in law and an honours degree in psychology. In 2024, she completed a master’s degree in neuropsychology from the University of Edinburgh.

Booysen is equally passionate about writing. In 2022, she published her debut young adult fantasy novel, The Marked Children, a project she had been working on since high school.
Speaking about the book in an earlier interview, she revealed that it took nearly seven years to complete while balancing her university studies.
How did MrBeast And Thea Booysen Meet?
The couple first met in 2022 during MrBeast’s visit to South Africa. According to Booysen, their meeting happened unexpectedly after his planned Antarctica trip with Logan Paul and Casey Neistat was cancelled due to COVID-19 related disruptions.
A mutual friend invited Booysen to join them for dinner where she and MrBeast connected over topics ranging from neuroscience to her novel.
Recalling the meeting on the Wide Awake Podcast, Booysen said she was impressed by how he kept up with their conversation.
Their Relationship Began Long Distance
Following their first meeting, MrBeast reached out to Booysen through direct messages and later flew back to South Africa for a brief visit to see her again. Their relationship soon turned serious despite initially being long distance.
The couple made their first public appearance together at the Kids’ Choice Awards in April 2022. By 2024, Booysen confirmed they had moved in together. The pair also welcomed a pet dog into their family.
