Nina Dobrev is no stranger to the spotlight but her latest viral moment was not quite the red-carpet experience she had signed up for. The Vampire Diaries star attended the 2026 Venice Film Festival for the world premiere of Danny Boyle’s drama Ink where she arrived looking every bit the Hollywood star in a vintage-inspired Armani Privé gown.
But her time in front of the cameras was unexpectedly cut short. While Dobrev was posing for photographers and fans, a security official approached her and gestured towards his watch. He was apparently signalled that it was time for her to move. The actress initially continued posing, seemingly trying to carry on with the moment but a second official soon stepped in.
Dobrev eventually walked away with cameras catching her looking visibly confused and disappointed before she appeared to laugh off the awkward situation. A video of the exchange subsequently made its way across social media where it has gone viral.

Who Is Nina Dobrev?
Born Nikolina Kamenova Dobreva, Nina Dobrev is a Bulgarian-born Canadian actress best known internationally for portraying Elena Gilbert and Katherine Pierce in The Vampire Diaries. The supernatural drama premiered in 2009 and became a major television hit.
