Regan Hutsell, Miss Texas, has officially been crowned Miss America 2027. The 25-year-old Houston native won the crown on Sunday, September 6, at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. She succeeded reigning Miss America Cassie Donegan of New York.
Hutsell’s victory marks a significant milestone in the pageant’s history. She becomes the 99th woman to win the Miss America crown and is also the first mixed-race woman with African-American heritage to claim the national title.
As the new Miss America, Hutsell will begin a yearlong reign and receive $50,000 in scholarship money.
