Sakshi Jha, the Bihar-based teacher and content creator who went viral after her stint on India’s Got Latent Season 2, has reportedly been suspended from her teaching job. This was after the backlash over her controversial ‘man-hater’ comments on the show. While reports of her suspension have surfaced online, there has been no official confirmation from the state’s education department or her school.

The controversy began after videos from the latest episode flooded social media and triggered criticism. Sakshi’s performance stirred debates around comedy, gender stereotypes and responsible public speech.

What Sakshi Jha said on the show

During her performance, Sakshi introduced herself as a “man-hater”. She claimed that she disliked not only men in general but even the male members of her own family. She attributed her perspective to “generational trauma” and went on to make a series of controversial remarks.

Sakshi Jha revealed her life goal as, “Mujhe pati ko daru peekar belt se maarna hai (I want to beat my husband with a belt after drinking alcohol).” She also joked that a “good man” is someone who blindly obeys his wife.

Her performance failed to impress the panel of judges. They unanimously awarded her zero points, making her the first contestant this season to receive a complete score of 0/10. When Samay Raina asked the audience to rate her act, they too chanted “Zero.” Sakshi however rated her own performance an 8 out of 10.

Reports claim teaching job suspension

After the episode, reports claimed that Sakshi had been suspended from her teaching position in Bihar due to her controversial remarks on the show. However, there has been no official statement confirming the suspension so far.

Samay Raina comes out in her support

Sakshi’s performance was followed by relentless trolling. After which, Samay Raina himself appealed to netizens to show compassion towards her instead of piling on the hate.

Sharing a video on Instagram Stories after the episode aired, Samay acknowledged that memes about Sakshi were everywhere but urged people not to forget the human being behind the viral clips.

Addressing his followers, he said, “‘Man-hater’ Sakshi Jha ke bahut saare memes ban rahe hain, but request hai mere ‘men’ se, just be kind to her.” He also reminded viewers, “Wahan par bhi ek insaan hai (She is a human too).”
