Shreya Kalra walked into Lock Upp Season 2 as a digital creator and reality TV personality. Within days, she became one of the show’s most talked-about contestants. From confronting Ram Kapoor and clashing with fellow inmates to making controversial remarks that sparked backlash online, almost every episode has kept her in the headlines.

Add to that a resurfaced old video and renewed curiosity about her personal life and Shreya is now one of the names currently trending on Google. Here’s everything to know about her.

Who Is Shreya Kalra?

Shreya Kalra is an influencer, actress, podcaster and reality TV personality from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Born into a Pahadi family, she was raised by her parents, Kishore Kalra and Rajkumari Kalra and has a brother named Manishi Kalra.

Unlike many influencers who entered the industry straight after school, Shreya completed her education first. She studied at New Digamber School in Indore and later pursued an MBA from the Prestige Institute of Management and Research.

Her professional journey began online in 2018 when she started creating content on TikTok. Within months, her dance videos, lip-sync clips and fashion content gained millions of views. When TikTok was banned in India in 2020, she successfully shifted her audience to Instagram and YouTube, where she continued building her brand.

From Roadies To Reality TV

Shreya’s first major television break came with MTV Roadies Revolution in 2020. She entered as a wildcard contestant in Nikhil Chinapa’s team and quickly caught attention for her confidence and outspoken personality. During her auditions, even host Ranvijay Singh praised her fitness and performance.

Over the next few years, she expanded beyond reality television. She appeared in Amazon MX Player’s Heartbeats: Pyaar Aur Armaan, starred in Khatta Khatta Meetha Meetha, featured in multiple music videos including Zariya Tu, Pehla Pyar, Chokri, Saare Tumhare Hogaye and Mahiya Tere Sang. Shreya even hosted the reality show The Society in 2025.

Alongside acting, Shreya also built a successful podcast where she interviewed several reality show personalities.

Shreya Kalra’s Relationship With Rishabh Jaiswal

Shreya is reportedly in a relationship with fellow Roadies contestant Rishabh Jaiswal. The couple has frequently shared pictures and videos together on social media, with fans often calling them one of the popular influencer couples.

However, an older video featuring Shreya and Uorfi Javed has now resurfaced online, prompting fans to think otherwise.

In the clip, Uorfi joked that Shreya and Rishabh practically lived together “like husband and wife.” Shreya, however, replied that they were not dating at the time. The old clip went viral after Shreya’s comments inside the show, with several social media users accusing her of contradicting herself. Neither Shreya nor Rishabh has publicly addressed the renewed discussion.

Lock Upp 2: The Contestant Everyone Is Talking About

From the opening week itself, Shreya ensured she stayed at the centre of the conversation.

She first grabbed headlines after confronting Ram Kapoor over his past controversial remarks. While some viewers appreciated her for questioning him, others felt she stretched the exchange unnecessarily after Ram declined to become her cellmate.

Soon after, she became involved in a heated argument with fellow contestants Yogesh Rawat and Akanksha Choudhary. The confrontation escalated quickly, with accusations of flirting, cheating and betrayal flying across the room.

In another episode, Shreya had also shared a personal secret about Akanksha Chamola amd called her bisexual amid her divorce discussion. Akanksha, in the premiere episode, had revealed she and Gaurav have been living separately for the past year.

Even contestant Sufi Motiwala was seen asking Shreya not to cross the line in the last episode.

Love her or disagree with her, Shreya Kalra has emerged as one of the popular faces of Lock Upp Season 2 and judging by the conversations online, that spotlight does not seem to be fading anytime soon.
