Meet Subodhh Sharma, the fresh voice making his playback debut with the soothing track.
Who Is Subodhh Sharma?
Born in Jammu, Subodhh grew up in a family where music was a way of life. His father, Pt Prithvi Raj Sharma, is a noted composer and poet and Subodhh spent his childhood surrounded by compositions, poetry and daily practice. Those early years laid the foundation for a career he had always dreamed of.
Subodhh Sharma’s 12 Years Of Hard Work
More than a decade ago, Subodhh moved to Mumbai hoping to build a career in music. But instead of becoming a playback singer immediately, he spent the next 12 years working quietly behind the scenes.
He built his career as a music arranger, programmer and collaborator, contributing to projects while staying away from the spotlight. Even during those years, he continued working closely with his father, singing, arranging and producing many of his compositions.
And Then Viral Video Happened
Like many aspiring musicians, Subodhh regularly shared videos of himself singing on social media. One of those performances reached the right person. Producer Vishesh Bhatt came across the video and was reportedly struck by the “rawness, vulnerability and emotional honesty” in Subodhh’s voice.
Soon after, he was signed to sing for Awarapan 2, eventually lending his voice to Ve Junoon.

Vishesh Films has introduced several memorable voices over the years and Subodhh is the latest singer to join that list. The banner has played a key role in launching new musical talent, with Arijit Singh finding one of his earliest Bollywood breakthroughs through Murder 2. Now, with Ve Junoon, Subodhh hopes to carve out a place of his own.

Directed by Nitin Kakkar, Awarapan 2 is a direct sequel to the 2007 cult film. The movie sees Emraan Hashmi reprise his role as Shivam and also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Salil Acharya and Suvinder Vicky. Its soundtrack features music by Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Jeet Gannguli and Akhil Sachdeva.
