Janhvi Kapoor’s Chuttamalle is trending on X but not because the popular Devara: Part 1 song has made a surprise comeback. The song is back in the spotlight after an AI-morphed video using footage from the original Chuttamalle music video began circulating widely online. The manipulated clip falsely alters footage featuring Janhvi Kapoor and Jr NTR.
Both actors have condemned the misuse of their footage. Jr NTR has also vowed to take legal action against those who created and circulated the video, while urging people not to watch, share or engage with it. Here’s why Janhvi Kapoor’s Chuttamalle is trending on X and what happened.
Why Is Janhvi Kapoor’s Chuttamalle Trending On X?
Janhvi Kapoor’s Chuttamalle song started trending after an AI-generated, manipulated version of the song began circulating on social media. The video uses footage from the original song featuring Janhvi and Jr NTR but digitally alters it to create content that was not part of the original music video.
Reports say the altered video has been widely shared on X. The exact origin of the AI-generated clip remains unclear. The incident has once again put the misuse of artificial intelligence and celebrity deepfakes in the spotlight.
What Happened To The Chuttamalle Video?
The original Chuttamalle video is a romantic song from Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. The AI-morphed version takes footage from that original song and digitally manipulates it. The resulting video is fake and does not depict events from the actual Chuttamalle music video. Importantly, neither Janhvi nor Jr NTR created or approved the altered content.
What Did Jr NTR Say About The AI-Morphed Chuttamalle Video?
Jr NTR reacted strongly to the controversy on X on October 3. He condemned the use of AI to manipulate footage of Janhvi and said he would pursue legal action against both the creators and people spreading the video.
He wrote, “Disgusting, sick and shameless. In a land that worships women as mothers and goddesses, where ‘Matrudevo Bhava’ is not just a phrase but a part of our culture, some people have fallen so low that they are using AI to disrespect a woman in the most degrading way possible. Using AI to create something this vile is shameful beyond words.”
The actor continued, “To the scumbags behind this morphed Chuttamalle video, I will not spare any of you. I will take every possible legal action against those who created it and those who are spreading it. Please do not watch, share or engage with such content. Today it is someone else. Tomorrow, it could be your mother, sister, wife or daughter.”
He also asked social media users not to watch, share or engage with the content, arguing that doing so would only increase its reach. Jr NTR further called on state governments and the Government of India to introduce stricter regulations against the misuse of AI.
What Did Janhvi Kapoor Say About The Viral AI Video?
Janhvi Kapoor also addressed the circulation of AI-generated fake videos. She described the situation as disturbing and asked people not to create, share or promote such content. She also said legal action would be taken against those involved. Her response came as the manipulated Chuttamalle footage continued to circulate online.
Is The Viral Chuttamalle Video Real?
No. The video currently being discussed online is an AI-manipulated version of footage from Chuttamalle. It should not be mistaken for the original song or for real footage of Janhvi Kapoor and Jr NTR. The original music video does not contain the material added through the manipulation.
Chuttamalle Song From Devara
