Fashionistas with a desire to stand apart from the crowd while making heads turn, will appreciate the bespoke, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind outfits made by homegrown fashion label Banjara Trail. “Our pieces are loved for their intricate details, premium craftsmanship, and fusion of traditional and modern styles. Some of the biggest names in fashion and entertainment love them too! They have been worn by top influencers like Komal Pandey and Sukhmani Gambhir and Bollywood celebs like Jasmin Bhasin, Urvashi Rautela and Neha Dhupia. Our handcrafted designs are making waves across social media and red carpets alike,” says Founder and Creative Director of the brand, Anmol Singh.

What began as a pandemic endeavour retailing online, has grown from strength to strength over the years. The brand’s original vision was to unite India’s heritage crafts with modern design, celebrating timeless artistry through distinctive handcrafted garments. They work with skilled Banjara women artisans to preserve intricate embroidery traditions while creating meaningful livelihoods that are rooted in the idea of respect and collaboration.

Most recently, Banjara Trail has opened a retail space in the green belt of South Delhi where Singh will meet clients by appointment, which can be made through their Instagram page and website. An intimate gathering was recently held to mark the launch of the new space. Fashion insiders, creatives and cultural tastemakers who value craft, culture, and conscious design beyond mere trends were in attendance.

“We have imagined the space as a travelling caravan of stories, which brings together clean, minimal architecture with richly layered interiors,” explains Singh. “A neutral, open shell inspires calmness, while prints, handcrafted textiles, and curated artworks add depth echoing journeys across regions and traditions. The space unfolds like a trail, where garments are experienced as pieces of heritage, each reflecting the skill and story of the artisan who crafted it.”

The launch event sought to celebrate this philosophy by encouraging guests to slow down, explore, and connect with the story behind each piece. The cherry on top was a thoughtfully curated culinary experience and live music which seamlessly blended into the overall aesthetic.

Banjara Trail champions slow fashion, mindful consumption, and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship through close work with artisan communities. This is its contribution to the conversation on sustainable fashion. Singh states, “Balancing richness with restraint, the space embodies a refined mid-luxury sensibility which is expressive yet grounded in heritage. More than just a store launch, it marked the beginning of a journey that brings together people, stories and design in a deeply personal way. Today Banjara Trail represents soulful luxury, crafting collectible pieces that transcend seasons and celebrate individuality, heritage craftsmanship, and modern global expression.”

In creating her brand, Singh is driven by a deep passion for traditional craftsmanship and the preservation of culture through storytelling. Her prior experience lies in the television and fashion industries, where she developed a strong visual perspective that has helped shape her aesthetics and thoughtful creative direction. She shares, “My vision for Banjara Trail celebrates artisan heritage, timeless design, and meaningful craftsmanship, redefining modern luxury through authenticity and cultural depth. Our designs bring together the authenticity of Rajasthani and Gujarati craftsmanship with a modern, fashionforward appeal. It’s perfect for those who love to make a statement while staying true to their roots. Every piece from Banjara Trail is handcrafted with love, making it exclusive and unique, just like the personalities who wear them.”

Singh recalls how the euphoria for Banjara Trail’s offerings initially caught on. “It all started when Komal Pandey reached out to us and wore our purple embellished skirt on Holi. It went viral like crazy! Since then, whether it’s Komal serving looks or Jasmin Bhasin dazzling in our outfits, Banjara Trail pieces are made to stand out in pictures and videos, capturing attention effortlessly. Recently, Sukhmani Gambhir’s reel featuring our mirrorwork pants also went viral, racking up thousands of likes and shares, proving that Banjara Trail is the ultimate statement piece for fashionforward individuals. Urvashi Rautela also wore our Brocade Jacket to her movie premiere.”

She further adds, “We are promoting a Boho Chic fashion movement that celebrates free-spirited style, artistic expression and cultural heritage. This seamlessly blends ethnic influences, intricate handwork, and modern aesthetics, making it a favourite among those who embrace individuality. At Banjara Trail, we redefine the concept of ‘Boho Chic’ by incorporating traditional Indian craftsmanship into contemporary fashion, allowing you to experience the essence of India with every piece you wear. After all, Boho Chic is more than just a trend – it’s a lifestyle. Rooted in the nomadic and artistic influences of different cultures, it reflects a love for handmade textiles, earthy tones, and intricate embroidery. Boho fashion is known for its effortless elegance, flowy silhouettes, and fusion of different textures and patterns. Whether you are a true bohemian at heart or someone who appreciates the richness of cultural fashion, Boho Chic is a style that lets you embrace freedom and creativity.”

A standard feature of Banjara Trail’s outfits – which include dresses, jackets, tops, skirts, and premium wedding and other occasion- wear for women and children, is the intricate mirror work typically practiced by the skilled artisans of Gujarat and Rajasthan. This art form, dating back centuries, adds a vibrant, eye-catching element to garments. “But the mirror work in our designs is not just an embellishment, it is a reflection of India’s artistic legacy. Each stitch, each mirror embedded into the fabric, speaks of hours of dedication and generations of craftsmanship passed down over time. Wearing our handcrafted mirror work apparel means carrying a piece of history and artistry with you wherever you go,” shares Singh.

Banjara Trail’s clothing comes in sizes ranging from XS to 5XL, with pieces designed to flatter every shape and body type to feel confident and beautiful. “Further, our Boho Chic collection isn’t just for one type of event, it’s for every moment in your life. Whether you’re dressing up for a festival, heading to brunch, or simply lounging in effortless style, we have something for you,” says Singh, signing off.
