The Oberoi, New Delhi celebrates 60 years with Chef Wong’s innovative menu.

There are few Indian hospitality brands as iconic as The Oberoi Group, and its flagship property in the heart of New Delhi stands as a testament to that legacy. To mark its ongoing 60th anniversary celebrations, Baoshuan has introduced a new Conscious Lunch Menu, curated under the guidance of twice Michelin-starred mentor Chef Andrew Wong.
“When Baoshuan opened in 2018, Chef Wong’s vision redefined Delhi’s experience of Chinese cuisine, blending finesse with narrative where familiarity once ruled. His new lunch menu is both a tribute and a gift: progressive, thoughtful dining that balances nourishment with elegance and sustainability with speed. Under Chef Wong’s mentorship, Baoshuan elevated The Oberoi, New Delhi’s culinary collection to global standards, replacing familiarity with finesse through a contemporary Chinese lens,” explains Abhishek Panshikar, Vice President and General Manager of The Oberoi, New Delhi.
The three-course lunch menu begins with a delicate Yunnan ‘cloud’ consommé, continues with a personalized selection of garden-fresh vegetables prepared by Oberoi chefs, paired with jasmine rice and unlimited dim sums, and concludes with homemade coconut ice cream. “More than a meal, it’s an immersive, participatory ritual designed to fit seamlessly into a midday pause,” adds Panshikar.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, Baoshuan will also revive its all-time favourite dishes in the anniversary dinner service menus, running from September 20 through the end of the year. Panshikar notes, “This is Chef Wong’s way of honouring The Oberoi, New Delhi’s legacy of pioneering exceptional guest experiences. It’s a contemporary menu that complements the hotel’s modern ethos while aligning with progressive global trends in food sourcing and production.”
Chef Wong shares, “I am honoured to present the Conscious Lunch Menu and welcome back some all-star dishes on the celebratory dinner menu. These are my personal gifts to The Oberoi, New Delhi on its 60th anniversary. It has been a privilege to contribute to the culinary landscape of this exciting city through Baoshuan. I look forward to the next glorious 60 years and all that lies ahead.”
Founded in 1934, The Oberoi Group operates 32 hotels and two River Nile Cruisers across seven countries under its luxury ‘Oberoi’ and five-star ‘Trident’ brands. The Group also manages flight catering, airport restaurants, car rentals, and corporate air charters. “Oberoi Hotels & Resorts is founded on the belief that the guest is everything. This philosophy manifests in the sincere personal care and attention afforded to every guest. While our properties, accommodations, and facilities contribute to our esteem, the group measures its success by the value of human interaction practiced by its people,” says Panshikar.
The Oberoi, New Delhi, offers breathtaking views of the Delhi Golf Course and the UNESCO World Heritage Humayun’s Tomb, alongside spacious, comfortable rooms with complimentary high-speed internet and multiple restaurants curated by Michelin-starred chefs. Air quality, a premium in Delhi, is also ensured through advanced technology, promising the healthiest air in the city.
Since opening in 1965, The Oberoi, New Delhi, has blended heritage with modernity, becoming synonymous with elegance and sophistication. The 60th-anniversary experiences, including the Conscious Lunch Menu at Baoshuan, celebrate this legacy while looking toward a sustainable future.
The lunch menu emphasizes fresh, seasonal ingredients and light meals designed to recharge rather than overwhelm, making it perfect for office breaks or sightseeing pauses. Guests select their ingredients and interact with chefs to co-create a unique, participatory dining experience achievable within a standard lunch hour.
Panshikar adds, “The menu tells a narrative of responsible, nutritious fine dining that marks a meaningful chapter in The Oberoi, New Delhi’s culinary evolution. As we celebrate 60 years of luxury hospitality, we also commit to a future of sustainable practices, organic ingredients, and healthy eating. Chef Andrew Wong’s launch of the Conscious Lunch Menu leaves a lasting imprint on our evolving culinary landscape.”
The Conscious Lunch Menu will be served Mondays to Thursdays at Baoshuan, The Oberoi, New Delhi, starting September 20, 2025.
