Food and Design Intersect at this Unique Festival in Hyderabad

A design-forward culinary festival debuts at Hyderabad’s Signature Estates.

To the discerning, Hyderabad is a haven of design. It’s also a haven for delicious food. This January, these two pleasures of life will come together in a unique festival set to take place at the city’s most exclusive new address – Signature Estates. ‘Palate By Design’ is a two-day event that offers the best culinary delights within the framework of stellar architectural design.

“Palate By Design is one of India’s most interesting cultural movements, where fine dining, architecture and lifestyle retail explodes with new energy. The city’s high net-worth individuals (HNIs) and culture seekers are ready for deeper, more elevated experiences. The event is curated precisely for that audience – those who are curious, well-travelled and hungry (literally and metaphorically) for something fresh,” shares Nitya Reddy, Marketing Director of Ramky Signature One Pvt Ltd.

Set to take place on January 10 and 11, the location of this unique experience is Signature Estates, Hyderabad, which is being developed by Ramky Signature One Pvt. Ltd. This move ties in with the premise on which Signature Estates is built. “Signature Estates was born from a desire to create a place that feels generous and grounded. We wanted the estate to unfold slowly and be experienced through expansive landscapes and moments of pause rather than spectacle. It is a development shaped as much by emotion as by intent, where homes are designed to be lived in, felt and remembered,” says Pratima Reddy, founder of Ramky Estates.

Director Sharan Alla adds, “Signature Estates reflects a deliberate shift in how luxury living is envisioned today. It is conceived for a discerning audience that values space, privacy and permanence over fleeting trends. Limited to just 93 bespoke mansions across expansive one-acre and half-acre plots, the development is intentionally planned to feel personal, uncompressed and enduring. Our focus has been to create a community where scale, thoughtful design and long-term liveability converge to remain relevant for generations.”

The space has been envisioned as a future-ready community built for innovation, sustainability and technology-led living. The structure focuses on green construction and smarter planning, with a strong alignment to AI, IoT and digital twin applications, prioritising practical execution and customer-first thinking.

Spread across a serene expanse measuring 101 acres, Signature Estates consists of uber-luxury villa development with 93 bespoke mansions, with the master planning, architecture, and interior design by Habitat Architects. Palate by Design is the unique way of launching this property by bringing together various aspects to appeal to connoisseurs.

“Signature Estates brings together thoughtfully designed luxury homes that sit in a quiet dialogue with their surroundings. The architecture here is restrained and contextual, designed to belong to its setting rather than overpower it. Nature is woven into the masterplan through mature trees spread across the site, allowing landscape, air and light to shape the lived experience. Together, the homes and their surroundings create a retreat-like environment — calm, grounded and deeply liveable,” says Monika Choudhary, the founder, chief development officer and growth strategist of Habitat Architects.

Adding to this, Zafar Choudhary, the chief executive officer and founding partner at Habitat Architects says, “Signature Estates was conceived as a gated community of independent homes that embraces the openness of suburban living rather than density-driven repetition. The design moves beyond the idea of tightly packed row houses, allowing land, air and distance to become integral architectural elements. Here, luxury is defined not by excess, but by space. Generous plots, breathing room and a deliberate relationship between built form and landscape.”

As for the event itself, ‘Palate By Design’ will present a series of seven pop-ups helmed by the country’s top designers and chefs from celebrated restaurants. Over a two-day period, this manicured expanse will transform into seven worlds that are part installation and part feast.
