1. One Mother, Many Mother Tongues at Humayun’s Tomb Museum:
Continuing with its mandate of bringing the best of world heritage to India, the Humayun’s Tomb site museum’s latest exhibition includes a collection of artworks and objects exploring the maternal figure as it has been interpreted across cultures and time, through a variety of languages and traditions. This exhibition, jointly curated by Naman P. Ahuja and Andrea Anastasio, depicts the Madonna and Child as well as South Asia representations, conducting a conversation on the sanctity of mothers and motherhood.

2. Shots in the Dark, a solo exhibition by Chandra Bhattacharjee at Art Alive Gallery:
Chandra Bhattacharjee presents a series of charcoal drawings that focus on street dwellers, workers and neighbourhood characters that are part of the urban fabric, but often remain unseen. On offer are empathetic portraits that challenge ideas of visibility, anonymity and social indifference. A series of delicate watercolours depicting ordinary everyday objects, are also on display, in furtherance of this theme of what we assign value to on a daily basis.

3. Overland, There’s Shorter Time to Dream at LATITUDE 28:
This group exhibition curated by Shristi Sainani features sixteen artists from diverse geographical and cultural contexts. Its theme focuses on examining migration through questions of memory, displacement, belonging, language, and identity.

4. ‘ऊं बरा: at an ancestral threshold’ by Rohit Suresh Varekar at Gallerie Nvya:
Inspired by the devastating floods that reshaped parts of the Konkan landscape in 2021, ‘ऊंबरा: at an ancestral threshold’ reimagines the area before it was decimated. Through the use of doors, beams, and pillars recovered from collapsed mud homes, every object becomes a repository of personal and collective memory.

5. REMAINDER, a group exhibition by LATITUDE 28:
An exhibition that highlights the work of the top of the recent cohort of graduates of Maharaja Saiyajirao University (MSU) in Baroda. On display are paintings and sculptures by Nitin Kumar, Pratik Khurkutiya, and Sai Karnekota – three artistic voices to watch out for.

6. Cartographies of Remembrance by Anant Art:
Studio Catalyst, an affiliate program by Anant Art presents the works of Ayantika Sajwal, Bhimanshu Pandel, Dakshayani Chippada, Deepanwita Das, Dolla Shikder, Katyayini Gargi, Parth Itwala, Ritwika Ganguly, Sanyukta Kudtarkar, Sejal Solanki, Srinia Chowdhury, and Surendra Dewasi. The work is the result of a two-year artist development programme designed to provide emerging practitioners with time, tools, and community.
Venue: Anant Art’s flagship gallery in Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi.

7. Exposed Spine by Neeraj Patel at Nature Morte:
Presented in collaboration with Jaipur Rugs, the exhibition brings together a new body of textile works that transform Neeraj Patel’s ongoing explorations of architecture, industrial landscapes and material histories into woven, sculptural forms. Working with artisan communities, Patel extends drawing into fibre and thread, creating works that sit between image, sculpture and craft.

8. Mirrors: Distance Between Worlds Curated by Georgina Maddox:
A show that encourages diasporic dialogue between Shana Sood, an artist from India living in the USA and artist Yolanda Pena Mazzoni of Cuban origin, who also lives in the USA. Curated by Georgina Maddox, the show dwells on the idea of home and how it may differ across language and culture, but also often remains the same.

9. Holiday Homework at Method Gallery:
Put together in collaboration with LOAM and supported by the Ardee Foundation, this group exhibition explores what childhood looks like when it is no longer shaped by mass production. Bringing together contemporary artists along with 10 Open Call finalists, the exhibition reimagines childhood through themes of play, care, memory, pedagogy, and imagination and positions childhood as a space for cultural production rather than consumption. It is after all, where creativity first takes shape. The artists whose work is on display include Harshita Sharma, Liactuallee, Mona Sharma, Vinayak Sarwankar, Ansh Kumar, Amrit Pal Singh, Sanatan Vatsayan, Aditi Mittal, Mohd. Intiyaz, and Gautami Reddy.

10. Towards minor gestures: intensities in the making at Vadehra Art Gallery:
The summer exhibition at Vadehra Art Gallery is organised in collaboration with the Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA) and the Mrinalini Mukherjee Foundation. The exhibition displays the work of the ten recipients of the 2024 Emerging Artists Award (EAA+). This platform is built as a year-long engagement with young artists within a peer-led model of dialogue, exchange, mentorship and making. Participating artists include Ashis Dhali, Ashis Kumar Palei, Bhikari Pradhan, Kiran Mungekar, Partha Banik, Rahee Punyashloka, Richa Arya, Ritika Sharma, Soumava Das, and Vipin Dhanurdharan with Untitled Kitchen.
