Ask a Delhiite their favourite destinations for Chinese fine-dining and Royal China is sure to be included in their list. This awardwinning eatery located in Delhi’s posh Chanakya Mall is known for inflecting traditional Chinese culinary artistry with modern influence. In an effort to further upscale their offerings, the restaurant has recently launched a new menu, offering over  200 curated dishes which stay true to the promise of delicious and authentic Chinese food created using innovative contemporary practices.

Apart from the introduction of these new dishes, which includes an expanded Dim Sum selection, two exclusive dining formats have also been introduced to appeal to a discerning clientele. “Since its inception in 2010, Royal China has become an iconic destination for those who appreciate fine Chinese cuisine. Our brand is known for serving authentic ingredients sourced directly from China; refined flavours; and a serene 100-seater luxury dining space.

The new menu promises an immersive culinary experience, built around flavourful storytelling and seasonal creativity,” shares Aashita Relan Marwah of Royal China. The culinary journey begins with an indulgent Truffle Mushroom Soup, which is described as “A comforting and velvety creation that offers earthy richness in every spoonful.” Having got off to a sumptuous start, one moves to the appetisers which are a variety of options with bold flavours. These include the Sauteed Chicken with Green Chilli, Salt and Pepper Calamari, Crispy Calamari with Burnt Garlic, and the delicately steamed Scallops for non-vegetarian diners.

Vegetarians, on the other hand, can choose the Butter Chilli Baby Corn and Potato which has a spicy crispiness that makes it an ideal prelude to the meal. Moving on to the next course, Relan Marwah says, “The main course dives deeper into an ocean of flavour and regional Chinese influences. Seafood enthusiasts can explore dishes like Braised Fish in Garlic and Spring Onion, Braised Fish in Szechuan Sauce, Squid in Chilli and Black Bean Sauce, and the luxuriously tangy Chilli Plum Prawns. For poultry connoisseurs, the menu introduces the Roasted Chicken in Burnt Garlic with Soya Chilli and Roasted Chicken with Oyster and Mushroom Sauce, each bringing a perfect balance of aromatic spice and umami.

Vegetarian mains take centre stage with robust offerings such as Five Treasure Vegetable, French Beans and Burnt Garlic, and French Beans and Shiitake Mushroom, all of which reflect Royal China’s dedication to flavour-forward plant-based dishes.” These dishes are paired with new offerings in the noodle and rice selection. One can try Ho Fun Noodles Chicken, Burnt Chilli Garlic Noodles Chicken, and their vegetarian counterpart, Burnt Chilli Garlic Noodles Vegetable, each of which showcases layered spice profiles. “A side of fragrant Jasmine Rice completes the main course journey, allowing guests to soak up every nuance of their chosen dishes,” adds Relan Marwah. Another highlight of the new menu is the expanded Dim Sum selection, which has always been the strong point of Royal China’s food.

Guests can now sample the Spicy Crispy Chicken Cheung Fun, flavourpacked Basil Chicken Dumpling, and two new vegetarian favourites – the Edamame and Asparagus Dumpling and the Poached Vegetable Dumpling with Chilli Soya. According to Relan Marwah, they have been, “Steamed to perfection, making each dumpling a small parcel of craftsmanship and finesse.” As for the new dining experiences, an addition to the à la carte offerings is now available for people to enjoy. “Royal China Delhi is delighted to introduce an Unlimited Dim Sum Brunch, which is available Monday to Thursday from 12 PM to 3:30 PM. Priced at INR 2150++ per person, this indulgent feast is ideal for groups of 2–8 people and includes a tempting range of signature dumplings and Dim Sum favourites, like Prawn Har Gow and Chicken and Chive Dumplings to Char Sui Bao, Truffle Water Chestnut Dumplings, Sticky Rice in Banana Leaf, and more. It’s a must-try experience for Dim Sum lovers looking to enjoy a variety without limit in a vibrant, welcoming setting,” says Relan Marwah with a smile.

She also highlights the launch of the Ladies Luncheon Menu, as a specially curated midday dining experience tailored for gatherings of 5–18 guests. This one is priced at INR 1750 per person (all-inclusive), and consists of a multi-course menu available exclusively Monday to Thursday between 12 PM and 3:30 PM. Relan Marwah shares, “Featuring Royal China’s signature dishes, the menu is designed for shared indulgence and is perfect for celebrations, catch-ups, or refined afternoons out.” She concludes with: “With over 200 dishes on a newly expanded menu, Royal Chinsa continues to refine its signature style. Here, lightning-fast wok-based techniques meet thoughtful, high-quality ingredients in a setting that is equal parts refined and relaxed. Every element of the new menu has been curated to offer guests a rich, multi-sensory experience that honours Chinese culinary heritage while embracing modern tastes.”
