Most people do yoga to improve flexibility or for meditation. But it can also be beneficial for your body’s lymphatic drainage system. And some yoga asanas are more effective than others, when it comes to improving your lymphatic drainage.

What is the Lymphatic drainage System?

The lymphatic system refers to a part of your immune system that transport lymph (a clear fluid composed of waste, proteins, and immune cells) throughout your body. Its main organs include one marrow, thymus, spleen, and lymph nodes. A healthy lymphatic system is extremely important for circulation and immunity.

Importance of Yoga for Lymphatic Drainage System

The lymphatic drainage system relies mostly on movement, breathing and muscle contractions. Yoga combines breathing techniques with poses and stretches. Hence, it is helpful in improving the lymphatic drainage system.
