8th Pay Commission Latest News: How to Submit Data Through the Official Online Portal
The 8th Pay Commission has asked central government employees, pensioners, ministries, departments and employee unions to submit data only through the official Online Data Portal. To upload information, users must:
- Visit the official 8th CPC Online Data Portal.
- Register using a valid email address.
- Complete the captcha verification and log in.
- Upload the required data through the portal.
The commission has made it clear that it will only accept submissions made through the online portal. It also stated that “physical data / stand alone excel sheets / hard copies / emails, etc. shall not be considered / entertained.”
8th Pay Commission Latest Update: Data Submission Deadline Extended
The commission has extended the deadline for central government ministries, departments, state governments and Union Territories to submit data through the Online Data Portal. The last date has been extended from 30 June to 31 July 2026. Designated nodal officers have been directed to ensure all required information is uploaded before the revised deadline.

The 8th Pay Commission began its consultation process in March 2026 and has been holding meetings with employee organisations, unions and other stakeholders before finalising its recommendations. The commission is collecting feedback from:

- Pensioners’ organisations
- Government institutions and organisations
- Other stakeholders

The consultation covers central government employees, Defence personnel, railway employees, All India Services officers, Union Territory employees, Indian Audit and Accounts Department staff, regulatory bodies (excluding the RBI), Supreme Court and certain High Court employees, subordinate judiciary in Union Territories, pensioners and recognised employee associations.
8th Pay Commission Expected Date: When Will the Final Recommendations Be Announced?
Based on the timeline followed by previous pay commissions, the 8th CPC is expected to submit its final report around 18 months after it was constituted. Since the commission was set up on 3 November 2025, its recommendations are expected between February and April 2027, with the possibility of the process extending into mid-2027.
