AI Summit 2026 Delhi: The India AI Impact Summit 2026 is one of the world’s largest artificial intelligence gatherings, which takes place at Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. The summit brings together global leaders, tech innovators, policymakers, researchers, startups, and students to discuss their work, which will shape the future of AI technologies and governance.
The summit takes place at Bharat Mandapam, which serves as a main convention center of Pragati Maidan in New Delhi, India, which functions as the capital city of India.
The earlier AI Summit was scheduled from 16-20 February 2026; the AI Impact Summit and Expo were extended by one day to 21 February 2026 due to public turnout and demand. This exhibition will now be open to the public till Saturday, 21 February, with visiting hours extended until 8 PM daily.
The AI Summit event is conducted by the Indian government’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) under the IndiaAI Mission. This event emphasises responsible and inclusive AI for people and society.
On the last day (21 February), the Delhi Traffic Police issued a special advisory due to heavy visitor and delegate movement:
Traffic restrictions from 9 AM to 8 PM near Bharat Mandapam.
Roads likely to be congested include Bhairon Road, Bhagwan Dass Road, Purana Qila Road, and Mathura Road.
Alternative routes such as Tilak Marg, Sikandra Road, and Ring Road are recommended to ease travel.
The authorities sent extra staff members to control pedestrian movements, which enabled better traffic management.
The venue becomes most accessible through the Delhi Metro system.
Yellow Line: This line will stop at Pragati Maidan Metro Station, which is closest to Bharat Mandapam.
If you have to interchange stations like Rajiv Chowk, Central Secretariat, and Indraprastha, which will connect different parts of the city.
Hence, it will lead to avoiding heavy road traffic and save time.
Visitors driving or taking cabs should avoid direct routes around Pragati Maidan during peak hours due to diversions and restrictions. The users should use Tilak Marg, Sikandra Road, and Ring Road as their main routes because these roads experience lower traffic volume.
Public visiting hours: 9 AM – 8 PM (till 21 February).
The visitors must check official security protocols because entry timings and gate access rules will differ from actual times.
The next AI Impact Summit will take place in Geneva after the 2026 Delhi summit, which continues the series of global AI forums that focus on international cooperation and AI governance.
The summit was attended by hundreds of global leaders, tech executives, policymakers, and innovators from more than 80 countries, making it one of the biggest AI events in recent history.
