Bharat Taxi App Launch Date: BharatCabs, commonly referred to as the BharatTaxi App, is a Government of India-supported initiative that is set to launch today. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to launch the service today, February 5, 2026, at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
This app represents a movement toward fair mobility in India which will ensure drivers not to pay high commissions while passengers enjoy affordable rides. This initiative is supported by Government of India initiatives.
The Bharat Taxi App is downloadable from the Google Play Store.
Downloading the Bharat Taxi App is simple. Here steps by step guideline;
Download the App: Search for "Bharat Taxi - Cab, Auto & Bike" on the Google Play Store and install it.
Open and Register: Enter your mobile number to begin registration.
Verify OTP: Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your number.
Complete Profile: Fill in details like your name to finalize registration.
Set Preferences (Optional): Users can indicate if they have a disability to ensure a more comfortable ride experience.
Download the App: Search for "Bharat Taxi" in the Apple App Store.
Verify Number: Enter your mobile number and OTP for verification.
Create Profile: Complete basic profile details.
Accessibility Feature: Indicate any disability during registration for a comfortable ride.
Book Rides: Once registered, passengers can book city rides, intercity travel, and metro-linked rides directly from the home screen.
Drivers can register through the cooperative-based platform to become part of the Sarathi Hi Malik model.
Initial Setup: Enter your Indian mobile number to receive an OTP via SMS or WhatsApp.
Create Profile: Fill in your full name, email, and city of operation.

Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC)
Commercial Vehicle Insurance and Fitness Certificate
Cooperative Enrollment (Optional): Purchase a minimum of five shares (around ₹500) to become a co-owner.
Background Verification: Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited will review documents; after verification, accounts are activated, and bank details can be set for direct payments.
Enable Permissions: Grant location and notification access to receive ride requests.

Mobile Verification: Enter your 10-digit number to receive an OTP.
