Punjab: Panic gripped parts of Mohali on Tuesday after several schools and Fortis Hospital, Mohali received threats, prompting immediate action from authorities.

Gyan Jyoti Global School in Phase 2 was among the institutions named in the threatening message, along with a few other schools in the area.

As a precautionary step, school administrations declared a holiday and sent students back home. Police teams, along with bomb disposal squads, were rushed to the campuses to conduct thorough searches and secure the premises.

Sources said the threatening email also mentioned Fortis Hospital in Mohali and warned it against admitting Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Officials noted that such a disturbing pattern of threats is creating anxiety among educational and medical institutions across Punjab.

Security has been tightened around sensitive locations while investigators work to trace the origin of the email. Authorities have urged the public to remain calm as verification procedures continue. Further details are awaited.
