New Delhi; The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) of the Delhi Legislative Assembly, chaired by Speaker Vijender Gupta, on Wednesday finalised the agenda for the upcoming Monsoon Session. The Committee decided that two reports of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India and a notification related to the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) will be tabled in the House during the session.
The BAC also cleared the introduction of three Bills during the Sixth Session of the Eighth Delhi Legislative Assembly, which is scheduled to be held from August 7 to August 11, 2026.
Speaker Vijender Gupta said Chief Minister and Finance Minister Rekha Gupta will lay two CAG reports on the Table of the House. These are Report No. 01 of 2026, relating to the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi for the year ended March 31, 2023, and Report No. 02 of 2026, the CAG’s State Finance Report for 2024–25 concerning the Government of the NCT of Delhi.
He further informed that Power Minister Ashish Sood will table the notification and corrigendum pertaining to the Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (Terms and Conditions for Open Access) (Second Amendment) Regulations, 2026.
Among the legislations slated for introduction is The Delhi (Right of Citizen to Time Bound Delivery of Services) Bill, 2026, which seeks to repeal and replace the Delhi (Right of Citizens to Time Bound Services) Act, 2011 with a revised framework for ensuring the timely delivery of government services to citizens.
The Assembly will also consider a Bill to amend Section 2, Clause (g), Sub-clause (iii) of the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) Act, 2010, along with provisions introduced through the Amendment Acts of 2015 and 2020.
In addition, the government will introduce a Bill to repeal the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Incredible India) Bed and Breakfast Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2007, as well as its subsequent Amendment Acts of 2010 and 2021.
The decisions were taken unanimously at the BAC meeting convened ahead of the Monsoon Session, effectively setting the legislative roadmap for the five-day Assembly sitting.
The session is expected to witness discussions on key issues relating to public finance, governance reforms, citizen service delivery, urban shelter management and regulatory changes in the power sector, alongside the consideration of the proposed Bills.
