Delhi Assembly Security Breach: A major security alert was triggered at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Monday afternoon after a masked man drove a vehicle into the high-security premises without authorisation. The unexpected entry raised serious concerns about safety at one of the capital’s most sensitive government locations.

The incident took place around 2 pm when the driver forced his way into the complex through Gate 2, which is reserved for VIP movement. Officials described the act as highly unusual, especially after the man performed a strange gesture before leaving the premises.

Security teams quickly sealed the area and began checks to ensure there were no suspicious items left behind.

Delhi Assembly Security Breach: Driver Leaves Bouquet Near Speaker’s Vehicle

According to officials, the masked driver exited his vehicle after entering the complex and placed a bouquet near the porch close to the car of Speaker Vijender Gupta. After leaving the bouquet, he returned to his vehicle and drove out of the premises.

During both entry and exit, the vehicle reportedly damaged the tall iron gate and a boom barrier installed for security checks. The unusual behaviour of leaving a bouquet has added mystery to the case, leaving investigators searching for answers about the driver’s intention.

Authorities immediately called bomb disposal squads and crime branch teams to inspect the location. Officials confirmed that no suspicious materials have been found so far.

Police identified the vehicle involved as a white Tata Sierra SUV carrying a registration number from Uttar Pradesh. According to officials, the vehicle is registered in the name of Sarbjit Singh, although it is still unclear whether he was the person driving at the time of the breach.

Security staff posted at Gate 2 and other personnel present inside the complex are currently being questioned. Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine how the vehicle gained entry.

Police are also questioning a rickshaw-puller who reported being hit by a vehicle matching the same description shortly after the incident.

Delhi Assembly Security Breach: Security Review Ordered After Breach

Following the incident, senior police officials reached the spot to assess the situation and review existing security arrangements. The breach has exposed possible gaps in monitoring at entry points, leading to renewed calls for stricter access control.

Authorities are expected to tighten surveillance, upgrade barriers, and review emergency protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to identify the driver and understand the motive behind the unusual act.
